Poll question: At the end of a first four year term which candidate do you believe
Edited on Wed Jan-23-08 10:38 AM by Perky
will have moved the ball further down the field on Health Insurance reform, repairing the US standing in the world; Improving the environment for educational and economic advancement and getting us out of Iraq.

In short who will be able to accomplish more and is more liekly to leave the Americam people wanting more.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT ELECTABILITY. IT IS A QUESTION ABOUT BEING TRANSFORMATIONAL AND EFFECTIVE.

3. There are still other candidates, you know.
Stop doing what the corporate media wants you to do.

4. I never suggested there were not other candidates.

But your guy went from 30% to 18% to a self proclaimed 'Butt-kicking' of 4% in the span of two weeks.

I am delighted he is still in the race.....but he is not going to be the nominee unless he wins somewhere.

5. And as long as everyone ignores him, he doesn't stand a chance.
You ignored him in your poll, just as if he doesn't exist.

If you're going to offer options, should you not offer all the options?

6. "should you not offer all the options?" I agree.
It's a crime that Lee Mercer is not on this poll.

12. Hate to break this to you, but NOBODY has experience being President
UNTIL they are President.

15. That is true. Some do have more experience in they way
things work in Washington and would have more experience on how to bring about change.
Some have more experience in foreign affairs and have previous relations with foreign leaders.
Some have more life experience just because they have lived longer and therefore gathered more knowledge.

Some others do not have the seasoning that can only come with age and knowledge.

Disagree if you want, but I think life's experiences make people more grounded in reality.

Hope and change (to me) isn't valid with out experience. It is just empty words with nothing to bring
this hope and change.

I'm being honest with how I will choose to cast my vote in the primary. Others will cast their primary vote
by different means. Nothing wrong with any dem making any choice they believe in.

16. Then why didn't you back Biden.
He had the longest Washington experience. He had the most Senatorial experience. He had the most experience with foreign affairs and had personal relationships with many foreign leaders. And he was, I believe, the oldest of the this year's crop of candidates.

He should have been ideal, by those criteria.

17. I like Biden a lot. I just didn't think he had that nasty word
electability. We each have many differing ways on how we choose to support a candidate. I supported JRE in 2004 by working the phones and also with my pocket book. I wrote Kerry to please choose him as his running mate. Then I supported them both in the general. This time in history I have come to the conclusion that experience is my main issue. There is nothing wrong with that is there? I also have to admit that I would like to see a qualified, experienced woman become president before I die. Now if Hillary was a empty pants suit I would not be so anxious to see this woman president in my life time. I am not saying the two male candidates are empty suits. I just think her experience and leadership is a big plus.

18. Thanks. While I disagree about the quality of Hillary's experience
I appreciate that you stand for your position with reasonable arguements - something a bit lacking around here lately.

Cheers.
