Why Hillary and Obama Must Fight.
It is very likely that either Hillary or Obama will get our party's nomination.

And if they do, The Republickers will unleash all their fury, lies, and underhanded tactics against them.

If Hillary cannot stand against Obama-- or if Obama can't survive what Hillary Clinton does to him-- then they do not have a chance against the Republick Smear Machine.

So, we put Hillary and Obama into The Thunderdome Primary.

Two candidates enter, one candidate leaves.

The survivor will probably get to fight Master Blaster (that would be Mike Huckabee riding on Chuck Norris' back).

Now, the rest of you should place your bets, stay out of the ring, and STFU.

2. This is why I think the debate was almost scripted.
It appeared that they brought up all of the *whisper campaigns* in one night, dealt with them and moved on. They are scrubbing up for the main event, and taking away possible attacks from the pukes.

3. Amen to this idea
And be wise enough, whoever has the good fortune to win the nomination, to embrace the smarter aspects of their opponents' positions.

4. Yup, i feel the same way

Let them battle, its good for the Democrats to clear the air now, lets get it out of the way. Its been brewing for a long time, the 2 wings of the party. Time to settle it.

7. I wonder how many Obama supporters agree with the Thunderdome Primary
concept.

If the nomination goes to the toughest campaigner, then the process is essentially over. Then again it was over before it started, since none of our candidates is smarter or tougher at campaigning than the Clintons. The primary season becomes just a form of "spring training" for the general election. So much for character, experience, vision, issues, etc. The winner is the toughest campaigner.

You are probably right, though, that the winner of a Thunderdome Primary would do best against the repubs, though I think our chances are pretty good regardless.
