Why I support Edwards. My opinions...

1. His health care plan.

2. He was first to develop a plan for the economy. Not only was he the first, but his plan seems to be the most favored by economists.

3. He has put ending poverty front and center in his campaign. I think that that has to be done in order to improve education. I think that has to be done in order to improve race relations. I think that has to be done in order to make our society a more ethical one. When he talks about this issue, when he talks about how he was raised... I don't need anyone to convince me... I know he gets it.

4. He has given the issue of homeless veterans much more visibility... which helps our entire party.

5. He's not getting down in the mud.

6. He demonstrates his class and maturity on a regular basis. (e.g. His refusal to speak at the NAACP's invitation, after the two media darlings complained that it wasn't fair.)

7. He has the ability to handle the wrongwing's attacks in the GE with class.

8. He's the least divisive of the top-tier candidates.

9. He inspires me, by not getting frustrated or snappy, even though it's so obvious how the media is trying to ignore him.

10. He's so good-looking! (sorry, folks, but that does seem to count for a lot in the age of teevee). ;)

But so many are blindly following along with the candidates the M$M wants them to support.

And they think this country is going to change by doing so. Why do they not get it? :shrug:

I go by policy, so... I don't really understand using other reasons to support a candidate.

Edwards also has the best energy plan.

Obama is supporting nuclear energy, coal and E85 --- all bad stuff for people and the environment.

I think Edwards needs to address what I think are called "bundled" donations?

Obama seemed to take the bite out of the lobbyist/PAC thing when he said it was just employees donating... so... I wonder if there's any "there" there.

I grew up poor, and have lived in poverty-stricken areas for most of my life, and I believe him when he says it's the cause of his life... I believe him when he says he started working on this issue before he even thought about entering politics... yeah, he gets it. :)
