Hillary Clinton has the audacity to raise questions Obama on Rezko...
Edited on Wed Jan-23-08 03:10 PM by ProSense
Hillary Clinton has the audacity to raise question Obama on Rezko, when he has not been accused of anything. On the other hand, Bill Clinton refuses to disclose donors to his library, which includes $450,000 "from the former wife of fugitive financier Marc Rich before he granted Rich a pardon for tax evasion in 2001."

Is Bandar Bush a donor to Clinton's presidential library?

Clinton shill Taylor Marsh has an extensive article on Obama and Rezko even though buried in it is this:

Mind you, I'm not at all saying Barack Obama did anything illegal, nor is anyone else. He absolutely did not. That's not the point at all.

While Hillary and her surrogates are playing up Rezko, "the Republican National Committee has been circulating Rezko clips.

Hillary and Bill have a history and still active list of questionable relationships

18. Tainted money -- from a Saudi. Right.
Do you drive a car? If you don't, then you can talk about the taint of the Saudis.

"The Clintons are very corrupt ..."

Because you say so?

I've been hearing about the eeevil of the Clintons since 1991, and no one has even come close to proving it.

45. And that is dirty money, how?

They wanted to kiss his ass while his wife was kicking theirs. Perhaps they thought he would lobby Hillary for them. The tactic didn't work, did it? That's their loss, not ours.

Let's see ... if Hillary went along with the deal, the Clintons would be demonized.

Instead, Hillary voted against the deal in spite of the spiff ... so the Clintons are demonized.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't. At least it was a $20M payday.

Guilt by association my ass. She benefits from his positive attributes, she gets dragged down by his problems. Isn't that exactly what is being done in the case of Obama and Rezko -- Obama is sullied by Rezko's habits?

If you guys want to start a shit fight, expect to get covered with shit.

32. Sorry, the GOP already covered all of us with shit
It's a little late for that.

The reason why the Rezko case is being brought up is because Obama surrogates have resurrected the Hsu case. And both are bullshit cases. It's also useless to try to determine who drew first blood because these charges have been flying for several months and are only exploding now.

In general, though, the Conventional Wisdom has been that the Clintons are deeply dishonest, and not a shred of evidence supports that. The Conventional Wisdom presents Obama as being spotless, and he certainly isn't -- though I doubt that he's a bad guy, either. The Press likes its extremes.

Very simple
MegaHuge Oil & Gas, Inc. slips an unreported donation of $750,000 to the Clinton Library fund.

Next January, an important piece of legislation affecting MegaHuge Oil & Gas comes before Congress. MegaHuge wants President Clinton II to give them a hand. They remind her of the $750,000 gift they made a while back.

I think that might get her attention.

Hidden donations to an ostensibly charitable fund are a convenient way to keep attempts at influence-peddling out of the public eye.

It started months ago, and now it's in full swing. One benefit of the early primaries may be that the voting public might forget what total assholes the candidates are making themselves to be in the process.

16. Obama is/was accused of taking a $300k gift/price reduction plus another $10k
price reduction via paying the prior years price for the Rezko land (appreciation that year being 10% as shown by the price Rezko got for selling his piece that same year.

The claim of "slow market" and buyer "willing" to deal explaining the $300k reduction - but a reduction only for the house and not for side yard price - is accepted as preventing a criminal charge.

But the GOP ad is being filmed even as I type - I suspect.

68. Obama attacked first - then Hillary came back with Rezko. - but the media had Obama on all stations
today multiple times - they are determine that he will win.

And I think the media/corporations might get its way if the scenario on the day that the convention starts is a Clinton lead going into the convention but just short of a majority - at which point Edwards throws his support to Obama and Obama is crowned.

Hillary has to win on the first vote.
