I mean really now..he'll win NC..but thats like being astounded that Romney will win Utah..
Every poll I have seen on www.realclearpolitics.com shows Obama trailing badly everywhere else.

Maybe the OP has Obama mixed up with Edwards? Edwards is from NC. Obama is from Illinois. I'm sure that Obama will win Illinois.

And the whole state went "ho-hum" to the dirty house deal. And if that doesn't impress them, then he's home free.

I'd put money on Obama taking Illinois.

47. Durbin is gonna lose??? To who?
The Repubs would need a heavy hitter to take on the second most powerful guy in th Senate. And they don't have one. Hell, even Jim Oberwies is staying out of it, that tells you something.

Durbin is a Springfield guy, not a Chicago guy, and has no connection with the Rezko case.

Mississippi, Virginia, North Carolina, Maine, Vermont, North Dakota (where Sen. Conrad endorsed him in a caucus), Massachusetts (possibly helped by Kerry endorsement), South Dakota (thanks to Dashle in a caucus), Wisconsin, Oregon, Washington, California (Rasmussen shows it's a virtual dead heat there), Illinois, Connecticut (with the Ned Lamont endorsment and political machine which won the primary over Lieberman), and I think Ohio will be very competitive. There are others, too.

Why only pick on Obama? And BTW, a few weeks ago Obama wasn't "expected" to take any states and the fight for the Dem nomination was likened to a coronation. Be as we now know, things can change.

So don't write off Obama yet.

because of that. If there are many of those, he'd do well in Mass, Conn, and Hawaii, which are all pretty heavily UCC (if there is such a thing). But that's just speculation. Illinois is a sure thing.

Whomever wins the most votes in the primaries gets the nomination, then we rally around.

Personally, I'm voting for the person that I personally feel will make the best President.. but either Democrat is better than any Republican.
