How Could You Be So Fucking Stupid?!
Edited on Wed Jan-23-08 05:35 PM by Steely_Dan
I have no faith in this country anymore. I'm watching the two front runners who apparently will sacrifice everything to become President...even at the cost of our party. Disgusting and childish. There is already talk that the bickering between these two candidates may cost us this election in November (Crawford on Countdown last night). If they fucking blow this election and hand it over to the Republicans...Well, all of you deserve it.

You had your chance, America. You had your chance to put forward a sure winner. You could have chosen someone that would have never gotten in the dirt...someone that would have conducted himself like an adult. This isn't a fucking game being played in a schoolyard! This is for real. We have critical issues that run deep and will not be resolved because you want to make Presidential history. The way the two front runners are acting should be an indication to you that you fucked up AGAIN! It's no big deal...it's just the very survival of our country, you fucking idiots.

Mark my words...McCain will be the Republican nominee...(which I said months ago and everyone laughed). You see, the Republicans woke up and realized that experience does count and that McCain is their best hope of retaining the White House. And what did we do??? We decided that experience doesn't count, that high disapproval numbers mean nothing, that there is no way the Republicans can retain the WH...Well, guess what? We said that just before Bush's second term.

So, good luck with your candidates as they continue to rip the Democratic Party in two.

You should have been smarter than this. You should have made your decision based on your head and NOT your heart. Emotions are fleeting...objectivity has staying power.

Shame on you for casting Biden aside like he wasn't worthy. Shame on you.

Joe and Jill in Iowa on January 3rd after the caucuses.

So did the voters
and they are the ones who count. The media attempts to shape public opinion but I believe that most people can think for themselves and decide whom to support. Most of us have yet to cast a vote for anybody so I vehemently disagree that "we" cast anybody aside.

Yeah I don't buy it one bit but that's how the media portrayed it and that's why the women turned out in NH.

Don't think for one minute Edwards wouldn't have to fight back hard against the Clintons if he were leading.

Only the most entrenched and dogmatic Obamite automoton, could always be so partisan, as to blame others, while accountability is placed on their table. ( Just like your candidate )

Nowhere did the OP even suggest Edwards as the root cause of their desperation. But, Obama was certainly and undeniably the target of disdain.

But, being intellectually dishonest, you come in and tangentially attach Edwards to the thread.

You are one twisted soul.

I think it was Nietzsche who said that...or maybe it was Conan the Barbarian. In any case, it's as true as the day is long. All the candidates are being battle-hardened, the best man (or woman) will win, and all past wounds will be healed long before the general election.

Don't sweat it.

12. I got the impression that Biden lost because of two problems: 1. he campaigned on his experience and
long Washington DC resume during a change election, and 2. he campaigned based largely on foriegn policy issues when the country is focusing more of domestic problems.

For what it's worth, I think Biden might very well have won in 2004 if he ran the very same campaign back then when foriegn policy was a bigger issue and there was less of a demand for a change candidate; I think Biden was just one election cycle off.

Just another sore loser whine. If your team doesn't make it to the Super Bowl, if your candidate didn't win the nomination, or your model airplane didn't fly, it's because they weren't meant to. There was some fatal flaw in the make-up, design or execution that stopped them from succeeding. Getting all pissy at the other teams, or the other voters, or the laws of aerodynamics, isn't going to get you what you want.

What is it you want, anyway?

57. The Republicans Have Their Own Problems
The Democrats will soon choose between Hillary and Obama (assuming Edwards doesn't resurrect.) There then will be a long time to heal.

I like Biden a lot, but Obama and Clinton are also good candidates. I really don't think that Biden would do any better in the general election than Obama or Clinton.

The Republicans also have deep divisions and frankly I think they have deeper divisions. There are far more Republicans that hate McCain than Democrats who hate Obama or Clinton.

This has been a tough few weeks, but we're going to have a great candidate.
