I make a post about allegation of voter suppression...
and the Clinton supporters come running out with 2000 and 2004 republican talking points. "boo hoo" and "sour grapes" and "he is whining because he can't win" I am still waiting for the Sore Looserman to be slung at Obama. But honestly, how can so many people be outraged by republican tactics in elections then start to mimic the Rush and Hannity talking points when a democrat that they support does the same types of things?

5. "the Clinton supporters come running out with 2000 and 2004 republican talking points"
There are times when I wonder if some of the Hillary supporters arent subversive Republicans brought into the Democratic Party to help ensure a Hillary nomination.

6. We all do this....
Edited on Wed Jan-23-08 05:53 PM by TwoSparkles
I have thought about this...and we all do it.

I'd like to think that I'm above-the-fray, but I don't think I am.

We are all so completely invested (politically, emotionally and psychologically) in our candidates,
and there is a great deal of FEAR out there.

We all believe that our candidate is the best one to deal with our very complex world. The
stakes are so incredibly hight. It's not just about better schools and taxes anymore.

Our economy is in the shitter. We've got a Fascist, renegade band of nimrods who want to
invade country after country and destroy our civil rights. The Constitution has been
set aside. We torture. The Supreme Court is packed with sociopaths.

We're all a little freaked.

We're all willing to look the other way--when the media shows an unfair bias toward our candidate or certain
aspects of the election favor our candidate. And we spin things favorably for our candidate--even when they
say stupid things or treat another candidate unfairly.

We're all guilty of this. I think BushCo has turned us all into a bunch of raving lunatics, to some extent.
