In the IL legislature, the yay button is green, the nay red and the present is yellow.
There's a saying in Springfield. There's a reason why the present button is yellow.

:eyes: I grew up in Springfield, and all you're doing is trying to stir shit. Problem is the only shit pile around is the one you're sitting in with your DLC candidate.

When you have any clue what you're talking about - then maybe I'll consider your posts thoughtful, and worth something more than a sarcastic response.

4. When Bill Clinton was trying to pass his stimulus package,
he kept two new members of the House to vote till the very end, hoping that he would have enough votes without them. If he did, they would have voted against it or abstained. As it happened, he needed their votes. One was from a district outside of Philadelphia, a real swing Republican area. She was defeated in her next election because of that vote.

So, Bill knows about trying to protect legislators if their votes are not needed.

If they hadn't voted aye, would you have called them cowards, or called Bill a great strategist?
