Eye on the ball: Hillary and Obama are CONSERVATIVES
They hide behind "moderate" and "centrist", which we all know is code for only slightly to the left of the far right.

I think too many people here are missing this in all the chaos that is General Discussion: Primaries.

The goal of the primary is to choose the most liberal candidate.

It's not to pick "who can win" or "who is most electable" or any other of the millions of the so called "reasons" people are supporting the most conservative two candidates in the bunch.

The media is playing you all like a fiddle.

The general election is going to be a choice between a conservative and a conservative. Again.

1. Where has either of them referred to himself or herself as "moderate" or "centrist"?
They're not hiding behind anything of the kind.

3. You are delusional
If you think that Obama and Clinton are only slightly to the left of the far right then frankly you don't have a clue.

Are they leftists? No. But would they appoint another Scalia to the SCOTUS??? Not even close.

Would they veto SCHIP?? HELL NO

There are thousands of issues where Clinton and Obama's stances are far different than the far right. Open your eyes.

19. My goal was the one that respected every voter's own choice.
You want the most liberal person to represent you? Fine - vote that way.

The OP set some bizarre limitation based on HIS preference, not one recognizing any opinion but his own.

14. CORRECT. drives me nuts that these people vote against their own best
interests.

Refuse to look at the lobbiest contributors to both...going on looks and personalities ather than who is offereing them the best on the issues important
to middle classes.

When they or their kids are flipping hamburgers instead of doing white collar or manufacturing jobs - they can look back and say why did I vote that time for someone who thinks its okay to do business with lobbiests.
