Remember when DUers were claiming Huckabee would DOOOOOOOM us? (If you forgot, it was a few months after DUers were claiming Thompson would DOOOOOM us, and several months after DUers were claiming Giuliani would DOOOOOOOM us).
Now the guy looks like he is done winning primaries. Anyway, for your polling pleasure...

Thursday, January 24, 2008

A new Rasmussen Reports survey shows Senator Barack Obama surging past former Governor Mike Huckabee by 51% to 35% among likely voters. Senator Hillary Clinton also leads Huckabee, but by only eight points, 48% to 40%.

In early January and in December, Obama led Huckabee by only a few points in our polling. In five previous surveys conducted between November 2006 and November 2007, however, Obama led by anywhere from nine points to 20 points (see history and trends).

By contrast, even when Huckabee was relatively unknown to voters, Clinton's lead over him never exceeded eight percentage points. Since May of 2007, Huckabee has always reached at least 40% support in match-ups with her (see history and trends). In the January 10 survey Huckabee managed a three-point lead over the former First Lady, but in every other case he has trailed.

2. I have to laugh at that now--same as I am laughing at the "we're doomed" Fred threat.

9. From December
Former Senator John Edwards now leads Senator John McCain 46% to 39%. Edwards leads former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee 49% to 37%.

<snip>

Until recently, Mike Huckabee barely registered on the political radar screen. In November of last year Edwards was able to dispatch the former Baptist minister by a 17-point margin. But early this month a suddenly ascendant Huckabee trailed Edwards by just four points, 40% to 44%. He also trailed Obama by just a few points and Clinton by one. In the new survey, though, with Edwards now leading Huckabee by twelve, the wave seems to have receded a bit.

6. Who was worried about Huckabee? He's a joke.
And McCain was always going to be their nominee.

7. Well if you want to start that

All those southern states you go on about Obama winning just fall to pieces if Obama's the opponent but Clinton does much better there against Huckabee, who would have guessed.

So do yourself a favour and research first and you've been trying to score points on this and i caught you out today on a Califonia poll over a week old that got put in its place.

Also if Huckabee is the nominee, Obama loses in Kansas and Hillary wins in Kansas which is a surprise to me. She also does much better than Obama against Romney in vital states.

11. Could you do me a favor and show me the posts I have made about
"all those southern states you go on about Obama winning?"
Thanks.

"i caught you out today on a Califonia poll over a week old that got put in its place."
That is AWESOME! You "caught" me posting a poll that has the date on it on the top of the post. What a detective you are! How much money do you get for such skills?

Since you think any Hillary is going to win Kansas can you head over to intrade.com so we can bet on this? I love taking money from idiots over there, and you must make a lot as a DU detective.

And jut so you don't think I am hiding some bias...
Hillary Clinton is the worst candidate to seek the nomination in many election cycles.
Now you don't have to do your incredible detective work to see who I support. Your welcome! :hi:

Both are national security lightweights so that race would be won on other issues.

12. I'm really looking forward to getting the conventions behind us
and uniting behind our candidate, regardless of which one. We cannot let a "spring time scrimmage" take our eye off the "big game" this fall.
