Michelle Obama sends out email whining about Bill Clinton, begs for $50, tells Fairy Tale.
In the past week or two, another candidate's spouse has been getting an awful lot of attention.
We knew getting into this race that Barack would be competing with Senator Clinton and President Clinton at the same time.
We expected that Bill Clinton would tout his record from the nineties and talk about Hillary's role in his past success. That's a fair approach and a challenge we are prepared to face.
What we didn't expect, at least not from our fellow Democrats, are the win-at-all-costs tactics we've seen recently. We didn't expect misleading accusations that willfully distort Barack's record.
Barack Obama isn't relying on a former President of the United States to campaign for him.
He's relying on us -- you, me, and hundreds of thousands of people like us who are giving whatever they can afford to support this movement.
Please stand up in the face of these new attacks. Make your first online donation of $50 today and own a piece of this campaign:
https://donate.barackobama.com/reIiesonyou
Barack's unwavering opposition to the war in Iraq, his outspoken support of women's rights, and his call for leadership that will transform our party and our country have all been mischaracterized in the past two weeks.
We've seen disingenuous attacks and smear tactics turn people off from the political process for too long, and enough is enough.
It's time for a change. It's time for a new kind of leadership and a new kind of politics in our party and in our country.
And while Senator Clinton has a former president in her corner, I'll put my faith in a movement of a whole lot of people who are ready for change.
South Carolina votes in 48 hours, and more than 20 states will make their voices heard in less than two weeks on February 5th. Now is the time for all of us to step up and take personal responsibility for making change happen.
Please make your first online donation of $50 now:
https://donate.barackobama.com/reIiesonyou
Thank you,
Michelle

"Barack's unwavering opposition to the war in Iraq" is a Fairy Tale, Michelle.

She's proven she can play hardball with the bigboys.
She's proven herself to be a great liar.
She should not complain about Bill, since she is out there campaigning for her spouse too.

Twist Obama's meaning all you want. He spoke against the war at a time most including Hillary were afraid to speak the truth.

He was interviewed just prior to the 04 Convention and was using tact to support the nominees who had both voted for authorization.
He was the Keynote. And you would expect him to show division with Kerry at the time the party was to unify. Sure thing!

Go ahead use Rovian tactics to attack. And you will get the government you deserve. Tearing your opponent to shreds with half-truths,
twisted quotes, and outright lies is not the way to electing good people to represent us.

Edited to add: You still have not backed up your accusation that Michelle lied. I am waiting for your evidence.

I did look at the both your links. There is nothing about Michelle Obama in either article.
Again I asked you to back up your accusation that she lied. You have not done it.
Michelle is the wife of Barack Obama.

If you want to falsely argue that he lied by twisting his words, then trashing me that is fine by me.
You mainly only hurt yourself with this tact. Do not justify your accusation of Michelle by
quoting Barack. That just looks ignorant dear one.

17. Funny.
Under the Obama plan, American troops may remain in Iraq or the region. These American troops will protect American diplomatic and military personnel in Iraq, and continue striking at al Qaeda in Iraq. If Iraq makes political progress and their security forces are not sectarian, we would also continue training othe Iraqi Security Forces.
-- Barack Obama: Turning the Page in Iraq.

http://graphics8.nytimes.com/packages/pdf/politics/20070912obama_iraq.pdf

He's going to leave tens of thousands of US troops in Iraq to fight, in his words, "al Qaeda in Iraq."

20. EXCEPT 7/27/04 Obama told ChicagoTribune"There's not much of a difference between my position & GWB"
Edited on Thu Jan-24-08 03:32 PM by avaistheone1
In 2004, Sen. Obama said he didn’t know how he would have voted on the Iraq War resolution.
‘When asked about Senators Kerry and Edwards' votes on the Iraq war, Obama said, "I'm not privy to Senate intelligence reports,’ Mr. Obama said. ‘What would I have done? I don't know. What I know is that from my vantage point the case was not made.’
In 2004, Sen. Obama also said there was little difference between his position and George Bush’s position on Iraq -
In a meeting with Chicago Tribune reporters at the Democratic National Convention, Obama said, "On Iraq, on paper, there's not as much difference, I think, between the Bush administration and a Kerry administration as there would have been a year ago. <...> There's not much of a difference between my position and George Bush's position at this stage." (Chicago Tribune, 07/27/04)

He declares he's running for president.
And SUDDENLY this is the defining issue of his campaign and he goes after Hillary?

You can twist the facts "Clinton Style" all you want. He is the only Democratic candidate
that did not vote for this Gawd awful war in 2002.

That goes along way with me. I will never vote for Hillary who voted for the war and is the most hawkish Democratic candidate
in memory.

I can imagine what attacks would be coming Obama's way, if he had not supported the troops on the ground in Iraq.

But you are still spinning that the other two candidates did not support the war. They voted for it and would have been

her political future. But then what does she ever do, that is not calculated for her political future.

74. obama and brittany should sing a duet...OOPS
and i would enjoy a debate between those two..."Honestly, I think we should just trust our president in every decision that he makes and we should just support that." and Barack Obama's presidential campaign staffers released a memo describing how the Clintons have investments in India, a country that has been having a booming economy in part thanks to outsourcing of American jobs. Now, obama says releasing that memo was a big mistake, why? Because now Indian-american voters are less likely to vote for him after he bashed their home country.

so let me see who people of color are supporting. Indian_americans HRC Hispanic HRC Asian Americans HRC American Indian Nation HRC American white HRC.......
