On the attacking other candidates on DU - My little rant

Rant on:

Until recently you could count on the information posted on DU to be relatively accurate. If it wasn't, others discredited it very quickly.
DU had integrity, it was one of the primary reasons I began browsing and posting information on DU, a well informed group of liberal thinkers.
I was able to trust most of the things posted here and it was great, the one place where there was a wealth of information without the trash you see elsewhere on the internet and the media.

Since Iowa, things on this board have steadily degraded to the point where we are no better than Free Republic. Trash talk back and forth and slander here, mis-statement of facts there.
We have degraded ourselves and the integrity of this forum with all the crap that takes place here as we attack each others candidates.

We need to ground our selves and return to the values that this forum once stood for. TRUTH!

They are attacking everything that doesn't agree with their views. Starts to make us all sound like republicons

But rarley start one. I did do one today that was fact checking, I guess some could construe that as an attack.

But I mainy try post put my candidates best foot forward.

so I have to hope that people are sincere when they say they're not sure if something's true or discredited or whatever... but some of this stuff... *sigh*

What gets to me even more is the namecalling and childishness... I am now at the point where I'm just putting people on ignore. I don't have any tolerance at all for it.
