I wish Russert had called Huckabee on this last night:
SO a few weeks ago, radical cleric Huckabee says this:

"I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution," Huckabee told a Michigan audience on Monday. "But I believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living god. And that's what we need to do -- to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards so it lines up with some contemporary view."

Last night, he says this:

"My faith grounds me, it gives me a sense of direction and purpose. I don't try to impose it on other people. And I certainly would never use the auspices of government to try to push my faith."

So which is it Huckleberry? I really wish Russert had brought that up....grrrrr.

1. Sure, he would never use the auspices of government to push his faith--
except he's quoted as saying he got into politics to show that religion is the answer to our problems, not government. And he personally prevented a mentally-disabled 15 year old girl from receiving a stte-funded abortion after she was raped by her stepfather--private donors had to cover the procedure. He's so full of shit.

2. God forbid that the pundits actually point that out though...

3. They have been very easy on him, and all the GOP candidates, compared to Dems.
It's sickening. I have yet to hear them ask Huckleberry about stealing the furniture from the Governor's mansion, for example.
