I think that we might be missing the focus of the Hillary/Florida delegate issue.
IMHO, she's not doing it for the primary. She's doing it for the general election.

We can't afford to lose Florida in the G.E. By putting at least some token attention on the disenfranchisement of Florida voters caused by the dogfight between the state and the party, she may have an influence on voter intent come November. If Florida voters believe that someone actually cares that they exist, the damage caused by the dogfight could be minimized.

Seating the delegates is a battle that she will most likely lose, but I wouldn't be surprised if she's fully aware that that's the case.

6. no - the only people to be angry with is the Florida party - who did this to Florida.
If the candidates were serious, they should have spoken up MUCH sooner.

10. Then the Fla Party should have to be fined/censored not voters. Their anger:

and I find it justified. It was an assinine decision.

19. I suspect that your opinion is not a unanimous one.

Will that keep people from voting? Who knows. I think it would be naive of us to assume that it will have zero effect.

7. She is an elected Senator and former First Lady. Calling her "Hillary" is disrespectful.
She is known as "The Clintons."

13. It's the voters she needs to respect - before party hacks who are too lost in their
little squabbles to realize what they're messing with.

9. Even in the primary - RIGHT TO VOTE IS PARAMOUNT! Whatever party squabbles
national vs local - have to be solved by other means that depriving people of their vote. Fine, censor, replace whomever you want punished, but don't mess with people's vote! I can't believe the GOP-ers in those states get delegates, but the dems don't. I can't believe they are doing this to voters in Florida!

18. "they" aren't doing this to Fl
Fl is doing this to Fl

I personally think it's asinine that they don't do all of the primaries at the same time.. but both Fl and Mi had their chance to protest their place in line long before we got to this point.
Instead they thumbed their nose at the rules they agreed to.

If Fl can move up their vote, why can't Ca move theirs even earlier?
.. and somebody else even earlier than that?

20. That is my concern, as well.
The only real losers of this fight (and in Michigan) seem to be the voters.

12. look, every last delegate will count
to get the nomination, she's benefitted from a wide lead and the lack of the opponents from campaigning at all in the state. I'm sure this is more about delegates because every last vote will count, now, at the convention and in November, don't take anything for granted

17. It's her oponent who has ads, not her. She didn't set/break any of the stupid rules
She is standing up for the voters - a good cause.
The DNC should settle its scores without hitting the voters. Administratively.

21. My take as well
This is not a primary move, it is a general election move.

Of course it means she's assuming she's the nominee, mind you.

22. Not necessarily.
She's probably hedging her bets, but the move itself benefits the nominee (and Democratic candidates, in general), regardless of whom it ends up being.

23. If the delegates didn't benefit Clinton, would she be pushing for it?

Wow, that Clinton, always looking out for the good of the party. Not a self-serving bone in her body.
