Bill Clinton has admitted he has lied before
President Clinton today admitted for the first time that he intentionally misled the government and the public about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky.

<...>

"I tried to walk a fine line between acting lawfully and testifying falsely, but I now recognize that I did not fully accomplish that goal and that certain of my responses to questions about Ms. Lewinsky were false," Clinton said in a written statement read by Press Secretary Jake Siewert.

In an agreement reached with Independent Counsel Robert Ray, Clinton agreed to pay a $25,000 fine and not to seek compensation for attorneys' fees he paid during the investigation. The agreement also ends a bid by the Arkansas Bar Association to disbar the president.

Now he's doing it again.

Maybe the truth doesn't matter to him and those who keep making apologies for his behavior.

We love Bill, he has high ratings! We don't care if he is secretive (against full public disclosure) and lies frequently.

3. After 6 years of one fruitless investigation after another...
...the republicans, in desperation, began peeking in bedroom windows to find something, anything, on Bill Clinton.

During the "impeachment" Clinton's poll ratings were at 70%. Upon leaving office, he was at 68%, Americans weren't buying it.

When Democrats begin jumping onto the republican bandwagon to get ammo to attack other Democrats with, that is it for me. They have, for all intents and purposes, just joined the republican party.

How low will they stoop before this is all over? God only knows.

7. Obamas supporters rarely, if ever, defend him on the Issues
All they ever do is attack, attack, attack. Apparently they must not trust Obama's strengths to carry him?

So this is what we get, one absurd smear after another.

6. Have you ever lied?
If you had an affair on your wife/husband would you immediately run to her/him and confess?

13. I'm just asking what YOU would do in that situation.
I've been married for 22 years, and have never been unfaithful. But I suspect if I had been I wouldn't immediately "tell the truth" to my beloved husband. I probably would eventually, but it's human nature to try and hide what we perceive to be personally shameful and hurtful to those we love.

Regarding what Obama said about Reagan, I DO NOT believe that Bill Clinton in any way lied. Deal with it.

16. In his book, "My Life" Bubba admitted he had sex with Gennifer Flowers, too.
Edited on Fri Jan-25-08 05:36 PM by Major Hogwash
After lying about it to a national tv audience on January 26th, 1992.

On the "60 Minutes" program, opposite of the Super Bowl.

The same day Hillary defended herself by saying, "I'm no Tammy Wynette, 'stand by your man' woman."

Wanna bet?

As I've said here before, politicians are like diapers. They should both be changed frequently for the same reason.

27. You sound as disgusted with Bill Clinton as I am.
I'm not just disgusted, I'm angry. I feel let down as a Democrat. I didn't give a damn about Monica, but this is tarnishing the one good presidency we had in recent years. I wasn't particularly an Obama supporter, but I might be after this, by default. If Hillary is really the strong woman her press claims she is, then she should start by taking control of her own campaign. How can she run the country when she can't even muzzle her spouse? Good Lord!
