The younger generation clearly sees beyond race - even in the South.

Don't discount them just because they didn't go for your preferred candidate.

The Obamite race game. Obama is doing well with young voters elsewhere too.

so I'm taking it if you DON'T vote for Obama, you're a racist?

I'm sick of this race and gender debate.

25. Spin, spin, spin.
How many on this board were saying, right up to yesterday, that if Obama wins it will ONLY be because of the high black population? That an Obama win will lock him in as being the 'black candidate', which will ruin his chances on super-tuesday?

Obviously, the only way for him to win on 2/5 would be for him to lose in SC. :sarcasm:

But look! 50% of white, under 30. I would bet a significant percentage of white, over 30, too, though I haven't seen those numbers.

I still hope to see Edwards doing better, but this result does indicate that it's NOT all about race, even if certain participants on this board (not you, DK, but those who ARE trying to make it about race) think otherwise. I'm sick of it, too. I oppose Hillary, not because she's a woman but because of her positions. I also oppose Obama, not because he's black but because he seems to me to be a kinder, gentler Hillary. But this is NOT, and should not be, about race or gender.

23. A lot of the old biases are kept alive by the older generation.
Racism, sexism, and homophobia are less prevalent in young people today than ever before in history.
