Obama makes me feel the way I felt about Clinton in 1992
Clinton was my first presidential vote.

I have hemmed and hawed trying to figure out how to vote on 2/5. All along, I always liked Obama and the way he can communicate.

I just realized this is what made Bill Clinton appeal to me in 1992.

I think I know how I'm going to vote.

I'm afraid Bill Clinton's legacy is better found in Obama than in Hillary and it took Bill Clinton campaigning for Hillary to make me realize that.

Big mistake to have Bill stump for her. She was better on her own.

or campaigner Bill Clinton is.

10. On what basis do you come to that conclusion, i.e. about not being half the man Bill Clinton is?
What did Bill Clinton do before he became president? Did you know anything about what he did in Ark. before he became President
Do you know about what Obama has done in Illinois?

Or are we just throwing out my team is better than your team?

but i've always said, if the race is between the two big dogs (Clinton and Obama), I'm going to be choosing one of them on 2/5.

but she's not holding me. i've given money to Biden and Edwards now, Clark back in 2004.

20. inspiration is nothing without delivery....
....and delivery is the product of experience, judgment, and the power to build concensus. If Obama is elected, the Washington establishment will eat him alive.

24. first you have to deliver the election
and i'm not convinced that Hillary has the chops politically to triumph in Washington either.

if Obama was running against LBJ you would have a point, but he's running against Hillary. her ability to deliver is not really proven as that much different.

No, I don't have evidence of a future event...nobody else does either that I know of but if Obama (and possibly Clinton) is nominated, we can look forward to at least 4 more years of a republican pres.

33. He can get elected
An Obama election will be fought in the south. We'll be talking to white southerners about real Democratic politics for the first time in 30-40 years. In fact, a movement is the only thing that will beat McCain, Hillary sure as hell won't. You wait and see how well Obama does in the plains and western states. People are going to be very surprised.

they each have advantages and disadvantages that make each of them comparable in terms of electability.

i think the Reagan comment is not what i will make my decision on, there are more important issues. it's not as if Hillary hasn't used conservative rhetoric for political reasons.

18. I agree...If the clinton haters thought Bill was tooooooooo damn
slick then this obama fellow is like whale doo. Obama is no bill clinton in 92. Bill knew what the hell he was talking about and knew the issues of the day inside and out and obama to explain his position on the issues is hard as hell to do. He does not discuss issues, and this is where HRC should go after his ass...on the issues.....

You all missed one hell of a great HRC meeting tonight over cspan. She opened her rally with one amazing speech that I could close my eyes and I could hear Bill and what he wanted to do to get america back on course and HRC surpassed that tonight and all HRC needs to do from now to 2/5 is give these type of speeches, but what I waas most impressed about was her taking questions from the folks and giving them what they wanted to hear like obama does, but directed answers to their questions and explained it in such a way the people there understood......

South Carolina is over and florida is next and then 2/5 and HRC will not be punished for the second place finish in south carolina....Over the course of the weeks since iowa hrc in these states have maintained her lead and in a few lost a point or two and in some gained.....So, it is now on to 2/5 and obama better celebrate tonight and sunday cause after 2/5 there will be no more celebrating in Mudville....cause THE ONE has struck OUT!

heck, i've always liked Bill Clinton. i'm just making the observation that what I like about Obama is what I liked about Bill Clinton in 1992. Hillary almost seems to be playing the Tsongas role by suggesting that Obama's pandering, etc. etc.

34. Getting fooled again and again
Yea, the 'feel good' is there just like old times . . . 92 and 96 . . . but I WILL NOT fall for it a second time. I have eaten so much crow since then . . . what really bites is the Clinton Mystique was never there to begin with . . . what really bites is that everything Bill and Hill accuse their opponents of being, they have been themselves many times over . . . projectionism taken to a fine art. If they had not been propped up by their adoring fans in the MSM we wouldn't be in this soul-eating deja vu right now. Had we but known the emperor had no clothes back then, we wouldn't have all this dried egg on our faces to chisel off!

Sorry, I may vote for his wife- but I DO NOT LIKE HIM! He just screams slimy, scummy and back-stabbing to anyone who stands in his way at any time. Same with GWB. Part of the reason I hate him is because of what he so easily did to his wife.

Obama is my first choice.. and i'll pick a 2nd if he drops out. But Bill is (IMO) doing Hillary no favors by stumping for her.. it makes me want to run and hide under the covers.

When I hear Bill or Hillary speak on the issues they know the ins and outs of every aspect of the policies being discussed. They are both policy wonks, ditto for Gore. Obama? He may have the "vision" thing down pat but would rely on his advisers for the rest. Who does he remind me of? Oh yeah, Bush Jr.
