Clinton uncollapsed? RasmussenTracking: Hillary up 4%, Obama down 2%.
Does this mean all those posts yesterday about the immediate collapse of Hillary's campaign as evidenced by the results of a single day's results from the Rasmussen tracking poll are no longer operative?

<edit>

In the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination, has gotten much tighter. It’s now Hillary Clinton 40%, Barack Obama 31% and John Edwards 17% (see recent daily numbers).

I mean, the way it looks, "big states" are starting to come together with their endorsements of Obama.

Clinton UP 4
Obama DOWN 2

Or maybe you just have a tiny touch of cognitive dissonance.

11. He's shown everyone that he can win.
And that is very important. People never want to "waste" their vote, want to be able to say they are on the winning side.

This win will open a lot of eyes; Iowa was not a fluke. And that delegate count also matters: Obama--63, Hillary Clinton--48, Edwards--26.

I mean, it would appear that the people of NH, NV and SC cared about Iowa, because before that, Obama didn't have a prayer in any state.

20. Based on what, your wishful thinking?
There is no way the DNC goes back on it word and appears like it has no teeth. That would be a disaster for 2012.

Not to mention the DNC isn't going to sit delegates from a state where only one of the viable candidates was on the ballot.

It's just not going to happen. Keep dreaming though.

Thanks for bringing the party together with your venom. I hear that works everytime.

Some here don't get it and they are doing more to drive people away from their candidate than anything.

Which makes me think there may be paid operatives on this site.

Some were posting all night long and didn't even sleep.

I don't know what you're hearing, but there is no way the DNC allows their teeth to be knocked out by allowing Florida and Michigan to sit. That would be a complete and utter disaster in 2012. Also the DNC is not going to sit delegates where only one viable candidate was on the ballot. Why do you hate democracy?

40. Ask the DNC and their state democratic parties, not me.
But I do know this, sitting delegates where in one case, Hillary was the only candidate on the ballot, and in the other case, no campaigning has been allowed, is just about the most undemocratic thing I can think of.

12. i think you need to wait a day or two
to pronounce anything. How much of the polling was done after his win in SC? Let's see what the big press coverage will do, and whether FL shakes things up and provides MO for Hillary. Will state polls reflect anything differrent in the next couple of days?

14. I'm not pronouncing anything, especially anything based on a tracking poll that leaps up
and down on a fairly regular basis. My point was that all those posts informing us of the collapse of Hillary's campaign based on a single day's tracking results were a little silly.

22. Read this from the article.
Daily tracking results are collected via nightly telephone surveys and reported on a four-day rolling average basis. All of the interviews for today’s update were completed before the polls closed in South Carolina yesterday. The next Presidential Tracking Poll update is scheduled for Monday at 11:00 a.m.

41. This doesn't reflect the SC results yet
The huge win occurred after most of that polling. I think that most people thought Obama would have a narrow win - nothing like what happened. Every pundit was speaking of how the Clintons marginalized Obama as the black candidate. The pundits have now changed on a dime. The most startling thing this morning is seeing the McClacklin report, filmed on Thursday versus the other shows filmed today. In fact, this high polling day will likely make HRC high for the next 3 days because it is a 4 day average.

46. I think your post does not take account of when the poll was conducted and therefore cannot
accuratly reflect what effect SC has on the over all process. It state in the poll that:

Daily tracking results are collected via nightly telephone surveys and reported on a four-day rolling average basis. All of the interviews for today’s update were completed before the polls closed in South Carolina yesterday. The next Presidential Tracking Poll update is scheduled for Monday at 11:00 a.m.

That seems to tell me that we are going to have to wait a couple of days before we get a good idea of what it all means.
