CNN: Yet more trashy journalism
Edited on Sun Jan-27-08 11:47 AM by sidwill
Wolf "gag me with a spoon" Blitzer again exhibited CNN's absolute deviation from actual journalism via the following action this morning.

While interviewing Mitt "Magic Undies" Romney, he attempted to create the false impression that the Democratic cnadidates had decided that Mcain would be the Republican nominee, he did this to lob a softball question to Romney.

To do this he took tape from the Democratic debates spliced to show each candidate in turn calling the R race for Mcain, in Obama and Edwards case they said mcain appeared to be the leader though Obams comment was cut off after he said "Mcain AND <snip>" in Hillary's case it was even worse with Hillary saying that the leader was "Mcain and <cut audio> she obviously mouths the words "Mitt Romney".

Why did CNN feel the need to create this false premise simply to throw der mittenfurher a lob question?

I hope Stewart or Media Matters catches this as well and shoves it back down CNN's throat.

1. They've got to repeat the RW talking points...
the BS going around is that Democrats want either McCain or Huckabee to run as they would be easy to beat, while Romney could beat any Dem handily.

Even Rush says that stuff about McCain, so you shouldn't be surprised Wolf Blitzer is repeating the same meme.

Their Corporate Parent pulls the Puppet Strings.
They gave us George Bush, Swiftboated Kerry, Destroyed Dean and are

3. The edit on Hillary's sound bite was especially egregious
it's as if they don't care if anybody notices their crapulance.

If anybody knows the Media Matters guys they have to look at this.

6. I thought it was the worst...they actually said that Bill Clinton got a free
pass in his day becasue there was not the 24 hour news cycle. They were so offended that Clinton would suggest that they are spinning and biased. Do they not remember the constant attacks against Clinton in the 90's? He could not turn around without another attempt to find a scandle by the right-wing media.

They were all attacking Clinton for having the nerve to suggest that they are biased and fueling discored amoung the candidates for ratings. And, of course a few months ago, we all said the same thing...many are now abandoning that mantra becasue it temporarily favors Obama...that still does not make it right.
