Rudy Giuliani says, 'Fuck You' to New York once again!
Edited on Sun Jan-27-08 11:52 AM by IanDB1
According to the reporter on Phantom Gourmet today, Adolf 9iu11ani has declared that if you combined all the best delicatessens in New York, they would not even be 10% as good as Michael's in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Putting his money where his mouth is, Der Rudyfuhrer is having his Superbowl Sunday party platter shipped from Michael's in Brookline to Manhattan.

So, Rudy Ghouliani, who prefers The Red Sox over The New York Nets, also prefers Massachusetts Deli over New York Deli.

Actually, I'd bet money he's shagging one of the waitresses at Michael's.

Some people say.

1. AHHHH
This post is so funny Im printing it out and showing it to people at work, the thing with 9/11 was hilarious. That tops the guy who said Rudy was happy he got 9.11% of the vote.

7. I think that Rudy is INTENTIONALLY trying to piss-off New Yorkers, and it's a GENIUS idea.
Adolf Ghouliani knows that he was such a disaster as Mayor of New York, that he does not have a chance of winning the city (let alone the state) in the Primary.

That would absolutely destroy any credibility that The President of 9/11 has left.

So, knowing that he's going to lose New York City and New York State, he needs an excuse.

That is why Rudy 9iu11ani has embraced both The Red Sox and trashed New York delicatessens.

When he gets his ass kicked on his own home turf, he can blame it on stupid shit like THAT, and not on the more serious reasons-- like the fact that he's an incompetent, fascist, corrupt, womanizing Nazi pig.

5. It's a serious matter of pride among some New Yorkers that they have the best deli food anywhere.
Edited on Sun Jan-27-08 12:03 PM by IanDB1
Rudy rattled-off a list of the most famous delis in New York and pronounced them to be shit.

Imagine if Jacques Chirac said that the best French food in the world was the Breakfast Crescent at Burger King.

8. Damned straight we do!
Best Deli. Period. Often imitated, never duplicated. Many have tried.

It's something in the water. :D

10. picture Kerry ordering a cheese steak with Gruyere, only much worse
Michael's is actually pretty decent, comparable to the Carnegie in terms of leanness of beef, lack of portion control, and red vinyl seating, but in DU flamewar terms this is like saying the best fried chicken in the world is battered with corn flakes and the south should just go to hell.

3. Did Rudy order up a sandwich for Baby Louie?
Gulliani pays for a first class airline seat for his concubine's Louis Vitton handbag.
The bag is apparently a member of the family.

It would be only natural to stuff peanuts and pour a frothy mug of beer into Baby Louie.
Here Louie, want a bowl of chili? Open wide!

4. If he truly wanted to 'go national', he'd declare a passion for KC BBQ
or low country cuisine, soul food, Texas chili, or southwestern fry bread. Preferring an out-of-town deli to any of the fine ones in NYC would never play in a NYC Mayoral race, and it's just lame as hell as a political move in a National race. So, I discount political motives factoring into the choice.

One can only conclude he really does like Michael's deli. Eh. To each his own. I think he's an idiot. But then, I've never had any respect for the man. He has given me much amusement in his Presidential bid, though.

Of course, we must consider the source: The Phantom Gourmet is based in New England, not NY.
