Just watched Rudy! speaking in Boca....

on CNN...to call the audience response 'polite applause' is to overstate somewhat. Even when he told his ostensibly Republic(an) audience that he would propose the largest tax cut in history, there was minimal reaction...and if I know my brethren in Boca, if they ain't excited about him, he can just 'forget-it', as Quickdraw McGraw used to say.

9. IIRC, Jerry Brown tried that in '92
He got a big campaign donation from Tom Selleck, but otherwise got steamrolled by Bill Clinton.
