So please stop using the excuse that Senator Obama merely wanted to run national cable ads and couldn't find a way to do it without them running in Florida.

He could have waited until after the Florida primary.

But he didn't.

So, now the floodgates are opened because he violated the agreement and is campaigning in Florida (and if you think running ads isn't campaigning, you are making a distinction that is fraught with dishonesty).

Both Clinton and Edwards should assume the agreement is moot and they should both start running ads in Florida, they should both do national cable buys and all three candidates should feel free to campaign there.

The agreement is no longer in effect.

Of course, this is yet another story you won't see the MSM discuss, because it does not align with the narrative they are boosting that Obama is running a more honest campaign than the other two.

24. One of mine too. How often are we going to allow the media to play us?
We know exactly why they love Obama. They will stab him incessantly the minute after he wins the nomination.

5. Clinton is much, much better than Obama
at playing dirty. You got to hand it to them, there is nothing they won't do to win.

4. Sort of off topic..... I haven't seen a Clinton Ad in NJ. Is she really running
a national ad campaign? I want to see everyone's ad.

6. There is no distinction to make. The pledge defined advertising as campaigning. n/t

8. Edwards can't afford to run National Ads, and Hillary has been MIA in the south
I don't even think she's done a national buy yet. Here in GA, the only person on TV is Obama.

9. Just the very thing I long for in a President...trustworthiness.
And Obama doesn't pass the sniff test. Not at all.

If he can't keep his word about this, what else is he going to lie about?

12. Just saw another Obama ad in Florida with dino McCaskell in it
Edited on Sun Jan-27-08 04:21 PM by kelligesq
she who just voted immunity for the telecoms, one of 15 so called dems who joined the rethuglicans to vote for it.

not a great recommendation for Obama, unless he's hoping to get republicans voting for him.

14. Maybe he is running national ads because...ding ding ding...the Feb 5th states are coming up!
Can you run them everywhere but a single state? How does that work?

16. You can't
that's the whole point. That's why the others didn't do it. Hillary has as much money as he does, but she didn't do a national cable buy.

20. Maybe Hillary didn't run nationals because she felt she didn't
need them and would rather concentrate her message.

I can't imagine that she wouldn't run national ads because of the Florida promise.

This place has become desperate and sad.

26. Yeah, what's a little pledge?
moot now, anyway.

Clinton seems to have made a national buy since Obama broke the pledge.
