Did Jay Leno just make this up regarding Dennis Kucinich?
http://www.sacbee.com/111/story/664868.html

"Earlier today, our good friend Dennis Kucinich dropped out of the presidential race. Dennis' campaign slogan was 'Don't look back.' He chose that slogan because there's never anybody behind him." – Jay Leno
==============

Kucinich's slogan was "Strength Through Peace."

Did Leno make up 'Don't look back' out of nothing?

2. Reminds me of Anderson Cooper in the CNN YouTube debate
Cooper said to the panel, "Turn to the person on your left and say something nice".

Kooch was at the end of the line, so he quipped, "there is no one to the left of me".

Cooper responded, "we tried to find someone but couldn't".

I will never forget that -- it was hilarious. Gotta love the Kooch. :D

6. Usually, if a comedian wants to make a punchline about a campaign slogan,
...he'd start with an actual slogan, then make the punchline.

I don't think Jay Leno should create unfunny slogans out of nothing to serve as a setup for his punchlines.

4. Dennis never used "Don't Look Back" as a slogan.
But maybe he should have, given Obama's nods to Reagan, and the fact that Bill Clinton seems to be running for re-election. :evilgrin:

9. Jay Leno supported Arnold Schwarzenegger for governor.
Otherwise, Leno hasn't openly supported politicians.
