1. Good
Let's hope that between this, and Ashcroft recusing himself, this story actually develops some "legs". I don't know why it hasn't so far. I guess when people whose first instinct is to shout "treason" actually COMMIT treason they do what they can to gum up the wheels of justice as much as possible.

4. The interview where he says W duped him?
Really, you've got to be pretty damned dumb to get duped by that moron.

6. Look at post number one
Is that "some more of the typical sanctimonious posting from Dean supporters who leave no hypocrisy stone unturned" as well?

12. I didn't think your post was sanctimonious at all....
the one I replied to was.

15. Well
when you say "some more of the typical sanctimonious posting from Dean supporters who leave no hypocrisy stone unturned" that is a general attack against all Dean supporters. If you have a problem with the person who posted the original Kerry bash (which was uncalled for) then please call them out on it and not all of us. Thank you.

7. What's this?
If someone started a thread about jelly doughnuts would it turn into a Dean bashing thread?

9. Bastard cruller-eater
Is that why Dean lost 8 points in NH according to CNN? The cruller-munching?

*ducking, fleeing, giggling*

11. The cruller
only accounts for 4 of the points he lost. The other four was because he dipped it in someone's coffee.

10. Kerry was bashed first.
And I say that as a Dean supporter. Can't we let blm post a positive Kerry thread? He didn't insult Dean until Kerry was insulted. It's hard for me to stand up against Dean bashers when some Dean supporters are just as bad.

13. Uh... look at post number one
THIS Dean supporter not only "let" blm post a positive Kerry thread but actually JOINED IN the positive nature of it. It was wrong for Kerry to be attacked, that is true, but it's the subsequent PERSONAL attack against all Dean supporters (that includes YOU) that was uncalled for.

From where I'm sitting you're tarring us all with the same brush in that phrase.

19. He was responding to a bash in the previous post.
I know blm goes too far with his responses and has also gone too far with his attacks on Dean, but in this case he was responding to an attack, not starting a flame. If WorldgoneKrazy hadn't started the flaming, then blm wouldn't have had an excuse.

Fair's fair. In the end most of us are Democrats.

14. Discuss that with your fellow Dean supporters
who sanctimoniously post on IWR whenever they can while their candidate was also in favor of a resolution allowing Bush to determine use of force.

20. Those arguments are not my arguments.
I will not allow anyone's sanctimonious attitude, no matter whose side they're on, to define my support of any candidate.

24. Kerry has a "ringer".
Rand Beers used to be on the front lines in the War on Terror. He now holds rank with the Kerry campaign.

from the Washington Post:

Five days before the war began in Iraq, as President Bush prepared to raise the terrorism threat level to orange, a top White House counterterrorism adviser unlocked the steel door to his office, an intelligence vault secured by an electronic keypad, a combination lock and an alarm. He sat down and turned to his inbox.

"Things were dicey," said Rand Beers, recalling the stack of classified reports about plots to shoot, bomb, burn and poison Americans. He stared at the color-coded threats for five minutes. Then he called his wife: I'm quitting.

<cut>
"The administration wasn't matching its deeds to its words in the war on terrorism. They're making us less secure, not more secure," said Beers, who until now has remained largely silent about leaving his National Security Council job as special assistant to the president for combating terrorism. "As an insider, I saw the things that weren't being done. And the longer I sat and watched, the more concerned I became, until I got up and walked out."
