MSNBC dismissive of Hillary Win.
The whole night I've been listening everyone on MSNBC - from Keith, Matthews, and all others, have been pretty dismissive of Hillary and her attempt to claim a Florida "victory". Every time it comes up they always are clear to point out the agreement signed by the candidates, and that Florida gives no delegates.

The exit polls are VERY interesting though. I haven't been playing super close attention (it's mostly all about Republican's tonight :puke:), but I haven't even seen the percentages coming out of Florida for everyone.

I am curious to how other stations are reporting the "victory" and if there are any links to more in-depth exit poll numbers. There is a very real feeling that Florida could have flipped Obama (based on some comments made by Russert) had they actually been allowed to campaign there.

What are the headlines coming out of Florida? What is the buzz, if any at all?

But you'll need them to keep propping up your candidate, so good going there.

CNN is more of a Clinton Network News type of channel. So they will spin more positively for Hillary, I imagined.

40. I'm well aware and you've missed the point.
The point is to try and understand how the media spins the "victory" - if they spin it positively, don't point out the fact that it was worth squat, then Hillary might get a bump. If they call it what it is - as MSNBC is doing - a fraud, a "phony election" (a term that was used), an "outlawed election" (another term that was used), among other things... then it might backfire on her.

I want to know what headlines Hillary captures, and if they are positive, negative, and how it effects things going forward.

A bit of good news for Obama supporters, like myself, aside from the MSNBC coverage, is that Hillary has captured a smaller percentage of the vote than Obama captured in SC. They are considerably short - this despite the fact that 69% of them voted BEFORE the Iowa Caucus.

Overall, I think the above number and spin on the victory could backfire against the Clinton Campaign.

which wasn't in the spirit of the rules and likely broke the rules. Of course, nobody is saying anything about THAT!

Hillary stayed within the rules and appeared for a rally AFTER the polls closed. She only went to Florida to raise money which was permissible.

79. I am not pleased - I don' t know where you would get that idea
If the Democrats in the Florida legislature would have voted against the bill moving the primary - If the leaders in the Florida Democratic Party had not pushed for the early primary date - If the Democrats from Florida in the US Congress would not have been so gleeful about the new primary date the DNC may have been more tolerant of what happened and NOT stripped Florida of the delegates. Florida Democrats had MANY options to keep their delegates - they chose to ignore any other option but to hold the early primary. To NOT follow the rules established by the party and voted on by the party members.

55. I think that tide will be turning....
I think it just occurred to them, that the republicans are worried about Obama now, so they have begun to tear him down. They started last night, with the Hillary snub, then tonight, on the nightly news, they did a whole segment about his house deal, and it does look like a bogus deal.

I think they will start to trash Obama now, and try to get Hillary back in, because they think they can beat her. Chuck Todd said his republican family has changed their votes for the most 'electable' candidate now, and alluded to Obama possibly being the nominee....I don't think they want to run against Obama, and they just realized that.

49. 59% of the Democratic votes are being cast by women
Not just 59% of Hillary's votes, but 59% of all Democratic votes were cast by women. No one is talking about this enough, yet, but women are coming out in record numbers to support Hillary Clinton for President. It's not just in Florida. Women will cary her to victory in November in Clinton is our nominee.

This should be good.

to paraphrase, Blitzer is saying that they don't want to minimize the efforts of the voters in Florida BUT her win doesn't mean anything...right now.

She might get them to seat the delegates when this is all over.

Oh, and it's pretty telling when there are more Obama supporters on a Hillary thread, than there are Hillary supporters....me thinks they are being pissy because Obama didn't get more votes.

Oh well.

86. It's going to be interesting...
There might even be a court challenge. I think it's wrong to disenfranchise over half-million voters.

64. When she wins the nomination they will have to mention they
like the rest of the corporate republican MSM can't just give it to the other candidate. Like he wins one state and he walks on water.

74. Why shouldn't they be?
It's a ginned up victory with no delegates that counts for absolutely jack-shit. Why should they willingly play along with bullshit spin from her campaign?

75. I've noticed they've become cheerleaders for the Obama campaign. Disappointing.
I do have to give a big applause to Hillary. She gets hit from every side (media, obama campaign) and she still stands up and keeps going. That is one tough lady.
