Judging Presidential candidates by the behavior of their most aggressive DU supporters...
Is like judging the safety of a beach trip by watching the movie "Jaws."

Log off the computer and talk to some real people in person if you want to know what supporters of Clinton, Edwards, or Obama are REALLY like. Or just maybe you should actually listen to what the candidates THEMSELVES are saying. But please keep in mind--this isn't real life. These aren't necessarily typical supporters of said candidates. These aren't necessarily typical Democrats. These aren't even real people, in a way.

These are hyperexaggerated projections of our own personalities, plus the advantage of spelling out entire ideas without interruption and minus the restraint that comes with actually conversing face-to-face with another living, breathing soul.

In other words, this is DU. Do NOT confuse this place with real life.

1. Well said. Everybody should remember that any republican jackass can log into a website and pretend
to be for whoever they want, making whatever impression they make...And Republicans would love to see this party divided.

2. You mean... you mean... the...the... candidates are not a reflection of their supporters???

OMG...but I thought that Sens Clinton, Obama and former Sen Edwards were whining, name-calling, shrill ideologues.

You mean they're not?!!!

Color me shocked.

On serious note: Thank you for the post. It's amazing how people can be turned off by a candidate because of the shrill rantings of their supporters.

Recommend for you.
