Maybe good news from GA?

Released: January 28, 2008
Zogby Poll: GA U.S. Senate Race Could Be Toss Up

Chambliss re-election rating below 40%; Poll finds him vulnerable to Josh Lanier challenge

A new Zogby Interactive poll of likely voters in Georgia shows less than 40% of likely Georgia voters believe incumbent Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss deserves re–election. The survey also shows that he is locked in a statistical dead heat with former Senate staffer and new Democratic challenger Josh Lanier when their names and party affiliations are stripped from the question and just their biographies and key positions are provided to likely voters.

Asked whether Senator Chambliss deserves to be re–elected or whether it is time for someone new, just 38% said he deserves another six–year term in Washington. Nearly half – 49% – said they think it is time for someone new to represent Georgia in the United States Senate, while 13% said they

1. That would be a nice pickup
Let's hope we get strong Democratic turnout for the Presidential race - hopefully we can sweep in a few Dems that way.

3. Yes but a funny thing might happen on the way to the vote count
Max Clealand was considerably a head in the polls in 2002 and the Dem Governor was WAY a head in the polls - and surprise they lost...

any improvement in election fraud in GA to make us think that things will be better in 2008?

9. I think you're thinking of Roy Barnes.
I would give anything to have him back instead of the current dumbass in office.

:sigh:

5. If Chambliss gets desperate, he'll pull out his confederate flag

and start warmongering about Islamo-fascists in Iraq and how if we weren't there, they'd be over here beheading us.

The idiots will come running from the hills and he'll also get contributions from his "friends".

Maybe something different will happen this year -- let's hope so.

6. Then let's send him a nice white sheet with his name on it - and a hood.
Fucker. I will NEVER forgive him for stealing Max Cleland's job - comparing him to Osama bin Laden and questioning his patriotism - for the sake of a fat, worthless, dickless, pasty-faced chickenhawk. Never. I would REALLY love to see him go down. I was only going to help Jim McDermott in Washington state, and Al Franken this time around. Now I think I'll expand that list. And whoever is our nominee also might get some support from me. But the rest of the Dems? No IMPEACHMENT? NO MONEY!!!!!!! But it would be worth it to help send that fucker chambliss to the unemployment line.

8. Eh, we have Diebold statewide here.
If the race remains close up until election day, look for Chambliss to be "reelected."

But I'm with you, I would *love* to see that fucker out of Congress, and it would thrill me to have that seat in Democratic hands again. I've had enough with two right-wing fundie bastards representing me in the Senate!

If Lanier gets the Dem nod, expect me to campaign like hell for that guy!
