JONAH GOLBERG on McCain Nomination...
" CONSERVATIVES will have to learn to hold their noses and slink to the polls!"
 :patriot:

Hillary: "Is the smallpox vaccine of the GOP"
OBAMA: " We don't have much of a clue how to run against him!" :puke:

1. I think Obama vs. McCain is a fascinating race
Young vs. Old and everything that goes with it. They both have crossover appeal. Bloomy likely stays out of the race.

2. Also Future vs. Past, Hope vs. Fear, and Success vs. Failure.
It should be obvious which would win. Sadly, it isn't.

3. That's why the powers that be won't ever let it happen.
It will be McCain and Clinton. It was always going to be McCain and Clinton. That way it can be a 50/50 match up in the polls running right up till election day, a "razor thin race" of which we won't know the outcome until the last Diebold vote is flipped. They can't have a rout. It's bad for ratings, and is very difficult to steal.

11. And That Matters?
It is absolutely pitiful that his opinion would be of value to anybody. What a sad state of affairs for this country.

8. He's a legacy pundit
Like Tucker and Cokie and Kristol

I think it is some sort of charity thing because they couldn't make anything out of themselves given all the wealth privilege and opportunity they were born into. Hell at least most of their prep school classmates learned how to put on a suit and go reap "executive pay".

12. Let's see: 2 religious fanatics, one gun nut/Ayn Randoid, an old man and a Maria Callas fan..

My synopsis of McCain: "We aren't saying that Senator McCain is old and out of touch, but I do think he recently spent two weeks outside Lambeth Palace waiting for an audience with Cosmo Lang to discuss l'Affaire Simpson with Lord Beaverbrook . . ."

Ron Paul: "The market will free us from all that is evil, why soon we shall be able to smoke all the dope we wish and not pay taxes, that is our true legacy!" Sentence: exile to Galt Gulch.

Huckabee: "I like to call him Hugabe for his remarkably similar social outlook to that of President Mugabe. His son is a dog torturer and the ex-governor's only known positive is his ability to lose massive amounts of weight; unfortunately, he is of the Six Days MoFo School of Creationism." Sentence: Early rapture.

Romney: "Good hair Republican, independtly wealthy, but not in a kewl Kennedy or Bloomburg way. Not only wears magical underoos, but believes that Eden is in a cow pasture outside of KC MO." Exile to Planet Kolob.

Giuliani: "Was in NYC on September 11th 2001, along with several other million folks. Somehow stopping the trains and closing the bridges on that afternoon makes him special. Has Islamofascist Mania, wife killed dogs for money. Best friend is a con. Looks eerily like the mice eater leader on the show V." Sentence: Wife leaves him and he gay-marries Bernie Kerik, with no conjugal visits.
