Words and Deeds: To Edwards supporters on whom to look too
I know the announcement of John Edwards removing himself from the campaign came as a sudden blow and shock. After you all have taken the time to make your next decision and that being whether to support one of the two left, I would like to offer my words.

I will just say if you decide to support one of the two, take a careful look at one's life work and see if one of the two half way meet the criteria set by John Edwards example, and I would say remove all the negatives thrown out against HRC and see if her life's work is based upon what John Edwards cause is based upon and that is "words and deeds". Anyone can have words, but not only do you have to have words but to fullfil those words you have to have deeds....this is what HRC is saying when she talks about her life's work.

I personally respect your decision to support John Edwards. You all had the zeal and the gusto in supporting John as I have in supporting HRC.

Thank you

1. Bullshit. You've been one of the most rabid Hillbots on this board. How dare you think you can
manipulate and coddle and rewrite history now to try to make Hillary and her supporters.. appealing. Give it a freakin rest and give us a break.

7. You noticed that too??
Hillary is the anti-Edwards, for those of us who have been paying attention.

Nice try, BenDavid...not buying it for one second. :eyes:

10. While I don't like the term "Hillbot,"
the OP is the closest thing to a bot on this board. God only knows how many times I've seen him copy-paste the same vitriolic screeds in a half-dozen threads.

16. Find me anything negative I wrote against John Edwards. You
will not find "NONE".....but you can find a hell of a lot against obama......I am proud to support HRC but again I say you are so wrong.....

20. today is about Edwards
name calling like Hillbots is not needed. Edwards was about empowering people not Mud. Let's us today to respect John Edwards and use hatred amongst Democrats. Tomorrow we can go back to name calling, today let's focus on Edwards and his message, and thanks to the Edwards people for yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Now, after penning some of the most vile, horrid crap imaginable about Edwards over the last several months--coming into our threads where we are rejoicing and praising John--now they want us to support their candidate? They can't even wait long enough to give us time to grieve for what we are losing.

:wow: YOU have got to be kidding me??

2. Take a careful look at how the Clintons are running their campaign
and you'll know where their hearts truly are. They are for gaining power and not the good of the process or the american people.

My opinion only...

3. When it comes down to it, we all have to support whomever get the nomination
We have to beat the republicons regardless of which Democrat the media lets us vote for.

17. No, actually we don't. Voting for the lesser of two evils is not my idea of democracy. I, along
with thousands of others, can and probably will just stay home if Clinton is the nominee.

POINT BLANK
The worst Democrat is by far better than the best republicon in any election in any year.

I have been toying with putting you on ignore - and I hate to do that. There are only 2 people on my ignore list, and that has been within the past week.

18. my negative words have been directed towards one candidate
and that being Obama.....

Edwards I have respect for, and because this man lives I would say by my raison d'etre in meeting life's challenges, "tomorrow can be better than today and that every one of us has a personal moral responsibility to make it so."

21. The point is that you are incredibly obnoxious on this board, and so
this kind of "gesture" is transparent. You have proven you no qualms about polluting DU to further your candidate.

8. The Clintons have nothing at all to offer progressives.
I'm not going to bash the Clintons, but their history doesn't give us much hope (NAFTA, welfare "reform", just to name a few) in that respect. I'm probably supporting Obama as the lesser of two corporatists.

14. They would be if it had happened to their candidate, otherwise they just don't care.
Funny how that works, isn't it? And when their candidate is the next one shut out, maybe then they will wake the fuck up!

15. Pearls before swine
The best candidate is gone, our party no longer supports good candidates, they only know how to whore themselves for corporate money.

I'll vote for Clinton because she has the better health care reform package, but I'm done with campaigning, volunteering and donating this year.

My party and its candidates have definitely sent me the message that I'm on my own and its time to take care of myself instead of looking to others for solutions.

19. Choose Tomorrow
reflect on Edwards today, he and his supporters deserve it. Obama and Clinton can wait until tomorrow. Today is about understanding the effects edwards and his supporters have on the party and the country. I am a Clinton supporter, but i don't want to absorb the Edwards people. I want the Edwards people to become even more John Edwards. As a Clinton supporter I want to work with people from an empowered Edwards movement. I want the Edwards Movement to live.
