Edwards Supporters... What Can We Do For Him To Show How Much

we really LOVE him?? I know he has his website and we can write individually, but it will be a massive effort for them to read so many.

Is there some way, those of us here at DU you at least can send ONE BIG MESSAGE about how WE feel?? I HAVE to do something other than write to his website. My yard signs will stay up, and my bumper stickers too. I stay with him no matter what, but I would LOVE for him to see how much support he has from us here!! My stomach is in knots and my heart hurts so much!

Any suggestions???

My vote for Edwards went into the mail yesterday, and although I'm saddened that he is no longer in the race, I don't feel my vote was wasted at all. He was the only candidate who refused to get into the school yard fights. Had he gone for the hair pulling as did his fellow candidates, perhaps he would have received more press, but clearly it wasn't worth it for him.

I don't think people understand the function of a primary race. Nor do they understand this isn't a popularity contest. Had people voted on the issues, they would have seen that Obama and Hillary have voted identically in the Senate 94% of the time, and Edwards was the only stand out candidate.

We should be voting on the issues, not personality. High intelligence and a kind heart does not guarantee a pleasing personality.

I'm used to being in the minority.

I committed to working for a progressive candidate for congress in my district.

I had told him "you knock 'em dead in Iowa, and I'll work my butt off for you in Illinois"

well, that didn't pan out, so I found a way to work my butt off for change in Illinois, will lobby the candidate for Biden's plan.

I will just add Edwards to the fallen better-choices in whose name I campaign for Laesch. I'll vote in the primary for Illinois' "favorite son" and campaign for the dem for pres, but the greater investment of my time will be in grass roots politics. If the country is to regain control of its government, it looks like it is going to be one baby step at a time. So I'll try to encourage those baby steps.

As to a message to Edwards - just tell him that you will fight for his causes. That is what he would want to hear more than anything. Commit to fighting poverty and inequality; support progressive candidates for congress.
