I don't give a Damn who Edwards endorses.
Don't get me wrong, I hate seeing him leave the race and I supported him with my money and would have supported him with my vote had Michigan's idiotic politicians allowed it. When I decided to support Edwards, however, I did it by looking at the issues I felt most strongly about at this time and then chose the candidate who best represented my views. He just happened to fit them better than anyone else. Now that he's out, I need to focus on the remaining two and figure out which of them I most trust to actually work for the things this country needs most (economic reform and health care) and it's not a pretty picture.

My problem is while I think Clinton's health care package is much better than Obama's, I remember Bill Clinton's time in the White House and his cruel signing of "welfare reform" legislation. I don't want that to happen again. But with Obama, not only do I think he offers less of a health care solution, I really don't know what he plans to do about the economy. He's a complete wildcard there other than the few comments I've heard where he's implied tacit support for Reaganomics.

In the end I'll probably just hold my nose and vote for Clinton, but it'll be a hard vote for me. I imagine many others won't be able to do even that.

1. My sister's Edwards vote is going to Clinton.
It surprised me. She's been quite clear that she preferred Obama over Clinton as her second choice. She thought I was much too harsh on him. Today, when she called me to tell me about Edwards, she said her vote would go to Clinton.

2. I'm still voting for Edwards. If he can get enough delegates...
he may be able to sway the agenda.

5. Good Point...those in whichever states he remains on the ballot can stand up
for his view by voting for him anyway. I can't vote until May 5th...or I would, too.

9. I couldn't vote for him because of Michigan's idiocy.
But it's very hard to actively support either of the remaining candidates right now. I wasn't in love with Edwards like many people here, but he was the only candidate to address the most pressing issues of the day. I really don't hear anything but platitudes from Obama and Clinton about hope and experience, respectively. I need more than hope and we've seen what experience means when in the wrong hands. I want someone who will at least try to take on the largest problem in this country, the corporations. Unfortunately, every candidate left, Democrat and repub, is talking about how to better work with them.

How did it ever come to this?

3. I don't give a damn about Edwards
I am pretty certain from reading the posts here that I am towards the more liberal edge of this party.

The only thing worse than not having a liberal choice is having a pretend to be liberal choice masquerading as a liberal.

Edwards is part of the problem not the solution. It is men like Edwards perturbing the issues that cause the true progressive movement the most harm.

7. Screw you.
Despite my low post count I've been here over 3 years which means I saw when you joined. I'm on to you and some others. You can take your Edwards hatred and shove it.

4. The next step is to look at those who are advising both Candidates
to check out their positions and past character. If we do that work...we could sort out which one left standing would deserve support of Populist/Progressives.
