Congrats to Kerry!

I'm disappoined, but I'll get over it. Well, I won't get over it, but I'll get past the fact that I wont get over it, how's that? :)

I'm still going to consider myself a Dean Democrat, but since Dean vowed to support the eventual nominee, so will I.

I hope Kerry picks a decent VP, and as an olive branch to Kerry's fans here, may I suggest that he look no further than Tom Harkin.

Yep, Harkin supported Dean, but that's politics (it may even help bring in some Dean voters!).

Harkin has excellent progressive credentials. Big plus with Nader on the horizon.

He's a Vet, he's on top of health care, renewable energies, civil rights (Harkin authored the Americans with Disabilities Act), and fiscal responsibniilty.

Harkin also serves on the Senate Homeland Security Panel.

On the media side, hes photogenic, looks good next to Kerry, and is articulate as hell.

Thats my .02.

Some say that extreme times can bring out the best in people. I think Kerry was at his best when he returned from VietNam. I hope that he rises to the occasion now, not only by defeating Bush beyond the cheat factor, but by directing this country towards a progressive and democratic future.

Give 'em Hell Kerry!

it seemed to happen so quickly. Usually there is more of a long battle. But I think everyone wants to start the long battle with * and not other Dems. Does that make sense? Hey we aren't shooting ourselves in the foot for a change and that is a good thing!
