Clinton Thanks Florida Voters

By Anne E. Kornblut
DAVIE, Fla. -- After winning Florida's non-binding Democratic primary, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton thanked Florida voters for their support. "I could not come here to ask in person for your votes, but I am here to thank you for your votes today," Clinton told a cheering audience in a ballroom in Davie, near Fort Lauderdale, where many in the crowd waved the trademark green signs of the municipal workers' union AFSCME, which campaigned for Clinton in Florida after the Democratic party ban took effect.

"I am thrilled to have had this vote of confidence that you have given me today," Clinton said. "And I promise you, I will do everything I can to make sure, not only are Florida's Democratic delegates seated, but that Florida is in the winning column for Democrats in 2008."

She began speaking at 8:45 p.m., less than an hour after the polls closed; she was joined by Reps. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Alcee Hastings; Miami Mayor Manny Diaz; and Florida Sen. Bill Nelson. Clinton spoke for about six minutes before exiting the stage to the tune of "Takin' Care of Business."

3. let's see
SC counts in determining the Democratic Nomination.
SC has 45 valid delegates.
SC had over 40% voter turnout.
Obama doubled Hillary and won by more than 27 points.

FL does not count in determining the Democratic Nomination.
FL has 0 valid delegates.
FL had less than 30% voter turnout.
Hillary received only 17 more points in a state where no campaigning was allowed.
She had a 'Victory' party in an effort to deceive the public into thinking she actually won something.

The poster of this OP is a sad example of a victim of this deception.

4. Hooray for Hillary! Hooray for Business!!!
How honest of her to broadcast the prime beneficiaries of her campaign.

I'm a person, not a business. Do I get taken care of?

7. Yes. Business Class, not Steerage Class, which we need.
The Fembot worked perfectly in a state with a non-functional and Republican-operated Democratic Party. And a state where she was not officially permitted to campaign due to the state party's egotistical defiance of the national rules.

10. Wow.
.... she's abandoned "Don't Stop"?

I guess that's progress but it would have been nice to get past the 70s.

11. Not the first time...

...she used it in an earlier rally I saw on C-SPAN before the Iowa caucuses.

I have nothing against BTO, but very bad choice for a campaign song.
