Funny thing is that out of all people arch-conservative pundit Pat Buchanan noticed this first.

We didn't hear about Rezko.

We didn't hear about Wal-Mart.

We didn't hear Clinton and Obama sniping at each other over perceived scandals, AT ALL, last night.

But we did hear Wolf Blitzer get booed for repeatedly trying to stir the shit last night.

But Clinton and Obama wouldn't bite. They talked about the issues.

And that's a truly beautiful thing!

Thank you, Barack Obama, and thank you, Hillary Clinton, for keeping things civilized for a change!

3. Yeah, but it's a good start.
The Democratic Party needs to be united when primary season is over.

Because once a victor emerges, the Republicans are going to do their damndest to take the race straight to the mud.

4. Excuse me, backscatter712, I don´t mean to be rude
... but being glad that the two top Democratic candidates are being "nice" to each other, and saying "it´s a good start" is really not "a positive statement" at all.

That´s like saying "he´ll be a good President because he brushes his teeth every morning".

2. Being undecided, I was encouraged and hopeful after the debate.
The stuff I've heard about each of them that made me go "ewww" was forgotten. And I was able to listen to them present their platforms.

I feel whomever gets the nod, we'll be in good hands.

And Wolf...:eyes:

5. I watched the debate with great apprehension
ready to turn it off and go to bed if it started to turn ugly. I've become exhausted from all the crap flying around and needed a dose of civility and reason. I got that last night and today the sun is shining (after days of rain) and I'm feeling optimistic for a change. I don't know how long this feeling will last, but I'm enjoying it for now.

6. Because we want all those skeletons locked in the closet
It's fine that they had a debate on the issues, but people have got to stop being pollyannas about the scandals. They aren't going to stay locked in the closet forever and Rezko is a saint compared to what's in the Clinton's closet.
