Edwards and Clinton talk about "people" in their speeches, Obama talks abstractions
Noticed this when Obama suddenly started talking about the "forgotten America" after Edwards dropped out. He's made speeches yesterday and today and there's a line or two thrown in about "poverty" but when he says it sounds like he can't wait to get on to the next line because it's not a worthy subject.

1. With Hillary, the people she's actually talking about is
Her and Bill and their ambitions to con people like you into thinking she gives a damn.

3. Excuse me, but Obama was on the streets working with impoverished communities ...
before Edwards even thought about politics. For that matter, Hillary Clinton has been involved with issues of poverty since her young years as well.

When Obama marched to Harold Washington's office with a group of poor housing-project citizens to demand the removal of asbestos in the early 1990s, John Edwards was still focused on raking in millions on personal injury cases. Let's look at reality here, not "abstractions."

4. I believe that standing up to wrong-doing by corporations is as necessary (or moreso)
Edited on Fri Feb-01-08 03:20 PM by TooBigaTent
than standing up against an uncaring government.

What is more caring about "the little guy" than fighting a corporation that does not care about public opinion? At least (some) politicians pretend to be responsive to public pressure.

Same battle - different front.

6. You mean like when he was a civil rights lawyer
And I must say, I'm about 30 pages into "AoH" and he sure sounds like he cares about people.

5. Yes... Let's forget Hillary's stolen "we can" rhetoric
I swear, does her campaing have anything left that she came up with? All I see is her stealing everything from Obama and Edwards.
