Mr. Obama, due to your recent statements on elect ability, It is CLEAR you will never get my vote.

“In terms of electability, I believe that I am attracting new voters and independent voters in a way that Senator Clinton has not been able to do,” Obama said.

“If Senator McCain is the nominee, we can’t start off with the same playing field and expect to win.”

He cited the Nevada caucus as an example of the fact that he can reach a greater variety of voters than Clinton and said that her supporters are more likely to side with him, if he is the nominee.

“I am confident that I will get her votes if I am the nominee, it’s not clear that she would get the votes I got if she were the nominee,” Obama said.

If this is how he wants to play it, So be it, HE JUST MADE SURE ONE DEMOCRATIC VOTER WILL NEVER VOTE FOR HIM.

NEVER!

It might be Romney. McCain got caught using STRAIGHT LIES instead of STRAIGHT talk.

Pity too, I was enjoyng Romneys decline, He is the WORST candidate of all except Ron Paul of course!

5. Thats the best you have?
His campaign is just a big lie.
These statements like this seriously make me doubt his unity claims.
If he were for unity and he lost...He would be doing his best to deliver his supporters to the winner.

I will never pull a lever for this liar.

His supporters say it too.
How could I ever support them, knowing how they would react?

Seriously. He should be a loyal democrat and offer his support if he lost. Instead he barks out veiled threats.
I will never vote for him.

70. Edwards or Hillary do not publicly urge their followers to not support others if they lose OBAMA did
He is clearly not going to get my vote.

Hillary has to respond to this now and I hope she fires back hard on his devisive and potentially damaging to the party statements.

Obama is not a very good Democrat, he is obviously willing to hurt the Party for his own gain.

11. What he said is true for the most part
“I am confident that I will get her votes if I am the nominee, it’s not clear that she would get the votes I got if she were the nominee,” Obama said.

Actually it is very clear that she would not get the new voters that have registered just to vote for Obama

With Obama as our candidate it will be a landslide in voter turn out and in his winning across the country

15. I don't approve of this line:
“I am confident that I will get her votes if I am the nominee, it’s not clear that she would get the votes I got if she were the nominee”. I sure hope it never makes it into one of his campaign ads.

He will get my vote for sure as our nominee, but there are some people who are angry at him just like there are some people angry at Hillary. There are some folks who won't vote for someone who's top resume credential is two years in the U.S. Senate. There are some people who are so thrilled to have a chance that a woman will be elected President that they will cast a ballot for Hillary that they might not cast for Obama. And there is the stray racist, just like there is the stray sexist.

It can be argued either way who will retain the most voters drawn into this election. I don't mind Obama making a case that he thinks he can hold onto the lion's share, but the comment that he did make is needlessly presumptious at the very minimum.

and i think part of the reason his voters feel this way..is the lies started by his campaign...the lies allowed to travel..until of course he decided to put them to rest...but the damage had been done. he planted the seed and it grew...so now "his' voters believe all this crap...and will remain angry and vindictive enough to allow the rw to hold on to the white house...because a majority of them do not realize/understand the politics and how truly important it is for the dem's as a party to take back America...

It was before I was here, I went with Hillary because I like her attention to detail and her ability to tie issues together in a broad veiw, She is a harder worker and I believe she is smarter about getting things done.

I also considered Edwards, but realized early he would not stand a chance.

Fact is Hillary has my support, after reading Obama's fans in here and reading his statement above that confirms his followers contentions.....Obama has essentially made himself one Anti-Obama person.

His message is clear, it is a threat to my candidate and I reject him and his threat.

Campaign of hope laced with threats lies and attacks? How is he any different.

79. He's not telling them what to do. But alot of them are new to the process
and he's predicting how many of them are going to react.

I don't give a shit.

Every potential candidate will have tens of millions of votes against them.

What am I supposed to do? Curl up in a ball and cry? Fuck that!

IF "IF" WERE A SKIFF, WE'D ALL GO FOR A BOAT RIDE.

83. I have to say I am just angry Obama keeps saying this. Hopefully he will tone it down
I don't want four more years of Republicans.

I think that is evident through out the country and either candidate will win.

I am just incredibly angry that once again Obama or his supporters have sent out a message that hurts the party for his gain.
It is not clean politics and completely contradicts his campaigns theme.
I have always been an avid supporter of Clintons vs the slander and attacks they got from the right and am extremely angry that they now seem to be coming from the left. Obama's people should know better.

Hillary in 08

94. No he got a big chunk of the Independent vote
And thats his point. He attracts Independents, in a way Clinton doesn't. He can compete with McCain with those voters on top of the Dem vote. And thats a good argument. Bottom line, Independents aren't attracted to Hillary.
