1. Please keep stressing the "community organizer" experience.

2. Yes, it is very impressive and highlights his underlying philosophy of government.
It must be for the people, by the people, and of the people.

5. He was, in a major way here. Why do you have a problem with that?
Think of all the good he's done for the people and the Democratic Party here in IL/Chicago.

6. read the article and you will see that his 'community organizing'
created a complete reordering of the political power in Chicago.

He didn't just get 150,000 poor people added to the rolls - he got them politically active.

4. I would love to see a nationwide estimate of just how many young

folks Obama has attracted to the process? He's a modern day phenomenon. My thousands (exaggeration) of nieces & nephews are literally giddy when they talk about him. These kids have never been interested in politics, some of them have voted before, but never got involved in canvassing, phone banking, etc. As old as I am, I just can't recall this kind of enthusiasm.

8. and how many millions his GE ticket will add
some people say that he is untested in a tight contest. Well its pretty hard to test a guy that brings in hundreds of thousands of new voters. For me I would rather have the 5 million voters and win in a landslide than somebody who can squeak out a close election.

9. agreed....and a Hillary/McCain matchup will definitely be a squeaker...
There are even Dems who will not vote for her. Likewise, there are Dems who won't vote for Barack. But, I think Barack had it right when he said that he could most likely get Hillary's supporters, but Hillary can't get his, and I agree with that sentiment. She just doesn't create the same level of excitement, which is why Bill is conducting his own campaign.
