I bet Howard Dean wants Obama to win
Obama essentially used the "Dean" model to fundraise. Then he motivated the young people as Dean did in the beginning. The media ended up destroying Dean with the scream incident but I think Dean helped the party a lot. Before, democrats did not raise that much money. They also did not go after the young kids. They just assumed they would not show up because they did not in the past. I was not for Dean during that primary (thought we need John Kerry and his military experience since we were are war) but I do see how much of an effect he has had on the party.

1. And notice that Obama's detractors act much like those who triangulated on Dean in 2004
with all the "Deaniac" ("Obamaniac") shit and all.

The more things change....

4. I don't doubt that for a moment...
Particularly with the Clinton's power grab, siding with state democratic parties and trying to force the DNC to seat Florida and Michigan delegates.

6. Without a doubt. Howard led the charge against the Clinton establishment, and Obama's continuing it.
I see the Obama campaign as using what was the best of Dean's campaign and learning from their mistakes.
