Obamatons, I know you are (faux) "outraged" at Hillary's health care plan
So I'm curious to know, what did you *think* she meant when she said her plan was "universal"? Were you expecting some sort of "opt-out" of a UNIVERSAL health care plan?

Don't be hatin just 'cause your guy doesn't have a universal plan.

14. BREAKING NYT : If Obama wins, NO UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE
This is the last paragraph:
If you combine the economic analysis with these political realities, here's what I think it says: If Mrs. Clinton gets the Democratic nomination, there is some chance -- nobody knows how big -- that we'll get universal health care in the next administration. If Mr. Obama gets the nomination, it just won't happen.

25. If Mr. Obama gets the nomination, it just won't happen... explain to me how Clinton gets this passed
through the house & senate? Seriously.. there is NO WAY her plan (although superior) will get bi-partisian support. Obama's may not be perfect - but it has a much better chance of being supported, and getting passed in some fashion.

Clinton's may be better on paper - but if it doesn't get put into action, it's no better then anything we have right now. Obama's is definitely better then what we have right now.

And if you think presidents don't come up with ideas that don't get passed.. just look at Bushies Social Security privitatization that (thankfully) didn't get bi-partisian support. Hillary's plan will be sitting right next to this on the shelf.. if she does get elected, you can bet it will be a plan similar to Obama's that makes it through.

Are you proposing a welfare state where you get it for "free"?

5. If she is going to take the politically unpopular "mandate" view
she might as well go for the whole shebang and go single payer.

Why go half ass and throw in "garnishee" anyway.

9. She is, like Edwards, she wants to get the politically realistic thing in first.
Her plan, like Edwards', is a gateway to single payer in our political environment.

Obama gives us a prez;
White House hopeful will call 'president of Canada'

has been trying to burnish his foreign policy credentials. So it didn't help when he called Canada's leader a "president" during a debate Tuesday.

Asked what he'd do about the North American trade deal, Obama said it needs changes, so he'd "immediately call the president of Mexico (and) the president of Canada."

"Our trade agreements should not just be good for Wall Street, it should also be good for Main Street," he told his union audience.

On global affairs, Obama has been sparring with his first-place rival Sen. Hillary Clinton, who's intent on showcasing her experience and his rookie status.

She didn't mention the Canada slip, but she criticized the one-term senator for answering a hypothetical question about a nuclear attack on Pakistan and saying he'd send troops to Pakistan to catch terrorists if there was actionable intelligence about their location.

"You can think big," she said, "But you shouldn't always say everything you think if you're running for president because it has consequences across the world."

7. not at all, little hilldroid,
In fact I wrote an OP yesterday saying there was nothing wrong with Hilly's plan to dock wages of people who could afford healthcare and weren't buying it. Why, little hillbot, would you use such a broadbrush? I hate to shatter your illusions, hilldroid, but I think her plan is better than his.

12. Try reading my post, before reading into it something that isn't there.
See the phrase about people who can afford it and aren't paying up? My post also says that I think Hill's plan is better than Obama's. And the insulting names are a direct response to the OP's insulting names in her thread title. You didn't notice that? She smears ALL Obama supporters. I insult ONE- the OP. Color me shocked that you didn't mind the OP's insulting name calling.

23. I hate these schoolyard nicknames for supporters of one candidate or the other
Not just you, cali, but the OP and any others throwing these divisive, distracting names around.

Regarding the OP, the only thing about Sen. Clinton's campaign that outraged me was her throwing out a despicable code word when she claimed that Sen. Obama may be seen as unelectable because he hadn't done the requisite "spade work."

They prefer to live in a world where you don't think for yourself but instead leave that to right wing radio and tv.

21. The only universal coverage that makes sense is
single payer; Hillary's plan will be a mess. No matter how she tries to back-pedal, universal penalties are an inevitability -- her 90s plan included possible jail time. I've preferred Obama's plan to Hillary's from the start. I'm not outraged, just perplexed.

Shouldn't they be getting on Obama's case instead for royally botching this issue?
