I have been donating to Kerry since the day after Super Tuesday
Just a little here and a little there when I can. Should I keep track of the donation limit myself or after I hit 2 grand will the site let me know I am over or at the limit and not accept any more donations from me? Just not familiar with donating money to candidates on the Internet or how this stuff works. My wife is also planning on giving 2 grand also after I max out. Thanks in advance if anyone knows.

1. Check FEC website
Check the FEC website, www.fec.gov It has a place where you can check on individual contributions.

3. I recommned keeping track of it yourself.

They may check if people are over the limit after processing the transaction instead of before, causing a hassle later on with returning the money.

5. Thanks. I will just make a copy of the emails after I recieve them...
...confirming the donation and I will jot down the amount on each page.

Dear donald,

I wanted to write and thank you again for your generous contribution
to my campaign. While I am certain you are asked to give to many
causes, your commitment to my campaign and to the larger political
process is humbling and much appreciated.

Your support remains crucial to my efforts and I trust that I can
count on your continued friendship and counsel.

Once again, thank you for your support.

Warm regards,

John F. Kerry

4. If
If you are donating so much, you should probably find your way into a fundraiser and have some fun doing it!

7. I've been donating regularly for a while
and I was wondering the same thing... I'm pretty poor though so there probably isn't much chance of hitting $2000
