I must have spent a solid 15 minutes in front of my touch screen this morning. I actually took three dry runs and kept going back until I confirmed my choice. A million things were racing through my mind, and I recalled that when your mind is operating with that much intensity, its a good sign that its time to turn the decision over to the second brain (NO not that one, the "gut").
In the end it came down to this: I wanted to cast a vote FOR someone I believed in versus AGAINST the possibility of another candidate winning. I believe that voting "in the negative" is not helpful, can be seen as elitist, as never makes you feel good to participate. So I voted my conscience, and as I left my neighborhood elementary school and saw the wonderful young faces walking in, I felt on top of the world.
Have a GREAT day!
