I voted with my heart today. I voted for John Edwards.
I am sure I will be flamed by saying this, but I live in Illinois, so it is hardly a contested state. John Edwards was my candidate. I will support and vote for the nominee in the GE, but when it came down to being in the booth and seeing all of the names on the ballot, I chose John Edwards, who is the best person for the job. CNNMSNBCBSFOXABC would not approve, but I feel it is the only choice I could have made.

Tonight, I am probably going to take a strong sleeping pill, and when I wake up, the nominee will be decided. My heart isn't in it this year.

In 2004, I worked 12 hour days volunteering. I had an great time, had amazing experiences and met wonderful people as well as a few political heroes of mine.

I am going to ask everyone to please tone down the retoric for your candidates. It is not helping. We cannot win the White House with divisions so deep. This has been a very hectic primary season for all of us. Our goal is to get a Democrat into the WH in November. Let's not forget about that. I think some of the candidates have forgotten about that goal as well.

1. You have the right.
Of course, even John Edwards doesn't believe in his campaign any more, but it's still your right...

You can bet a few fall-in-line others will have to take a shot at you for your choice.

6. Good for you!
Ron Brown, jr. of the Democratic Leadership Conference was on Charlie Rose's program last night. He said the DLC was very pleased with both the front runners.

That was exactly what I had feared.

8. I'm seriously considering doing that.
I presume Edwards is on the ballot here in NY. I'm torn between voting for Edwards and giving Obama some much needed support against Hillary here.

9. I'm right there with you! Why NOT vote for Edwards??
We'll all be voting for whoever is the nominee in the GE. You've made an excellent choice.

12. If anyone flames you for exercising your civic duty and voting...
for the person on the ballot you felt best qualified for the job....our democratic republic is in even worse danger than I fear.

19. I had already voted for him prior to his suspending his
campaign and if I were voting today I would vote the same. My spouse has been solidly for Edwards for a year now and he left this morning grumbling and he still isn't sure of how he'll vote later today although he's leaning Obama.

I'm getting ready to go to the grocery store to get what I need to put food on the family tonight, and I think I'll abuse my liver, drink wine and see how things look in the morning.
