I just proudly cast my vote for Hillary Clinton
what a thrill. To cast a primary vote that actually MEANS something. California's primaries have always been so late as to be practically meaningless.

Oddly, I was given the choice to vote on touchscreen or paper. I've NEVER had the option to vote on anything BUT paper in CA. That surprised me - I thought the Sec. of State blocked their use. Anybody know more?

7. I've never heard of paper or plastic voting options in Cali
but i've been gone a loooong time.

I voted first thing this morning. I'm a Dem, living in TN these days, so a primary vote is usually the ONLY vote that means something.

Maybe this year's general will be different!

8. it was certainly the first time I was given the options
fortunately, there were >10 paper voting stations that were full. The two touch-screen machines were off in the corner, unused.

FYI I have used touchscreens in CA before--can't remember which election, but I never voted anywhere else and I have used a touchscreen.
