CNN Exits: Undecideds splitting evenly
Edited on Tue Feb-05-08 05:29 PM by NoBorders
Among those who decided in the last 3 days.

Not much more info than that. Graphic said 'Nationally'.

Edited for the 'in the last 3 days'.

1. that's not what they showed. The first graph was if you decided in the last 3 days that was
Obama 47, Clinton 46. 2nd graph was would you be satisfied if Clinton was nominee 72%, if Obama nominee 71%

2. I believe the poster
is saying that those who decided in the last 3 days are the undecided.

5. that tells us very little
I mean, we need more information than that to have an idea how voting's going. Those figures could fit with several scenarios.

AGH. WHEN WILL THIS BE OVER?!

6. I updated post with 'last 3 days'
otherwise, I think my post is accurate. 46-47 is pretty close to even.

4. That's not good enough for Obama.
That means Clinton holds onto her leads in all those states.

16. Doesn't it also mean that Hillary didn't get a bounce from the debate?
That was 4 days ago and she is a good debater. If, and it may be a big if, Obama was picking up late deciders before the debate, the debate didn't reverse this. ;)

7. That's very good news for Clinton
Are these exit polls for any specific state or for all the states?

9. I believe it referenced 'nationally'
Did not seem to specify any particular state, so yes, advantage to Clinton.

I expected Obama to win last minute voters by a good margin, this is a surprise.

13. If it were a state poll, I'd agree.
But nationally, it isn't much of a factor, since polls had shown there weren't nearly as many undecided voters at that level than, say, in California.

14. That would mean a huge win for Clinton, is what they're trying to say
Obama needed a significant margin among last minute deciders in order to overcome Clinton's established lead cross country. They're essentially telling us that Clinton cleaned clock nationally.

18. Did they split evenly everywhere?
CA is the big prize. Obama can lose CA, but come close, and it's a victory for him. Let's face it, if he loses NY and NJ no one will be surprised.

21. Remember, this was taken early, probably before 3pm, which means most of ther results may come from
NY State and Georgia.

On the other hand, early exit polls show a tie in MA.
