Clinton on Weekend Update - "John Kerry, make me your running mate. Kerry/Clinton 2004. Imagine what I'll do with LESS responsibility and MORE free time!"

John Edwards on Meet the Press, talking about his negative ads on Kerry - " *smiling and flipping his hair back* John Kerry likes talking about his plan for Social Security. John Kerry likes talking about his plan to balance the budget. John Kerry DOESN'T like talking about his heroic war service, which begs the question - can America afford a president this modest?"

Hilarious show tonight.

Later.

3. There was also a crack on Bush and Ashcroft
I missed the beginning of the one on Bush during Weekend Update. It was a story about a drunk that crashed his plane in Texas, and the punchline was: "It turns out it was President Bush, making up his missed National Guard time."

Immediately followed by the story about Ashcroft being in the hospital... "While he was there, doctors also removed the stick from his ass."

4. I'm watching
Mostly political stuff tonight. I did get excited when they mentioned the drunk guy from Texas flying the stolen airplane. My daughter works at that airport and was working when it all went down. It was on the local news all last week, but this is the first I've heard it mentioned nationally.

5. "I'll put the vice back in vice president."
That was how Clinton summed up his qualifications to be the vice presidential running mate.

6. ha. ha.
Clinton jokes! Oh boy, that's what we really needed more of in 2004...

I woke up this morning thinking: "yeah, Saturday is great and all - but wouldn't it be even BETTER with Clinton jokes?"

7. I'm sensitive, too, but I laughed outloud when I saw that on SNL
I thought it was funny. I hope you didn't see the "Benny Hill Jesus Story" skit. If you did, your Sunday is really going to suck.
