Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 09:54 PM by billbuckhead
The pundits said that winner of California should be the candidate in a big way when they thought John Zogby wasn't lying and Obama was going to win. Exit polls show Obama does poorly with the elderly, Hispanics and Asians, all, prime targets of a McCain candidacy.

6. I don't think that sort of juvenile name calling is particularly helpful
I suspect Obama would win California in the general, although the margin wouldn't be as large as we are accustomed to seeing.

3. Yeah, they backed off that one pretty quickly.
I don't think ANY one state should determine the nominee; that's just silly. Sure, California is an important, delegate-rich state, but so are many others. And carrying a state in the GE and winning it in a primary are two very different things. A Democrat will carry California, despite the failed Republican attempt to carve it up.

4. The pundits haven't gotten one damn thing right on either side of the aisle this year.
Turn off your TV and just watch what the voters do.

This country is entitled to its own race and choice after the last 8 years of total hell!

McCain is extremely well position with Hispanics and the elderly.

14. I don't get your point
Just because he lost to HRC, it doesn't mean that he wouldn't still win in the general. By your logic, Hillary would lose Illinois, Minnesota, Connecticut, and a whole host of blue states.

Show me one credible poll that shows McCain beating Obama in CA.

20. Early absentee voting and problems with Independent voting made the difference...
We may never know what might have happened if Obama could have gotten his message out before so many had decided in absentee and so much has been reported by Independent voter fraud and abuse:

Bubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble

In order for any of the county's 776,000 voters who have registered Nonpartisan to vote in the open primaries for the Democratic or American Independent parties, they would have to mark an extra bubble on the ballot naming the party for which they wished to cast a cross-over ballot. After a weekend of research, Jacobs says, CC.org contacted the office of L.A.'s Registrar of Voters on Sunday and were told it was true -- an extra bubble had to be inked, and, yes, it could prove to be a big headache on election day. The bottom line: If the “declaration” bubble is not inked on a Nonpartisan ballot, the voter's presidential preference would be voided, though not the part pertaining to propositions.

22. not that you ever had much to lose, but it's clear you've lost even that.
The nominee should be the person that wins the most delegates, cupcake. Even you should be able to figure that one out, bucky.
