Who has the best chance at beating McCain?
I believe that if either Clinton or Obama get the Presidency we will have a better than average chance at pressuring them to the will of the people. The economy and other factors will force them also.

With McCain we have zero chance of this happening.

It boils down, in my mind, to who has the best shot at beating McCain in the General Election?
Who do you think that is and why?

1. Obama. He can present an alternative to McCain's Iraq position...Hillary is a hawk like McCain.

5. Uh, I didn't know Hillary wanted to stay in Iraq for 100 years.
That's McCain's position. Hillary has already pledged to start bringing the troops home immediately after becoming President. She's just being honest in saying that they're not ALL going to be out by the end of the first term. We don't even have all of our troops out of Vietnam.

2. Even Ralph Wiggum would beat the snot out of McCain.
He's never had the level of direct attacks at your record that you get when you're the nominee. Plus, he's going to keep talking about how much we need to stay at war with the middle east and create new wars, and how it's fine that jobs are leaving the USA. That will tank his campaign. He can only keep up the cheery easygoing facade for so long.

3. George Bush.
In all seriousness, I think either one, Barack or Hillary, could beat Grandpa like a rented mule.
