Isn't Wexler making it difficult for his candidate, Obama, with this impeachment
move? Obama has spoken out against impeachment movement. But I guess if Obama said it it's ok. But Pelosi gets trashed for saying almost the same thing.

1. I've wondered the same thing
one of my strongest impeachment friends jumped ship last year after Obama nixed it. I couldn't understand why Obama feels that way about impeachment and the friend couldn't really explain it to me.

2. We no longer have candidates that support the constitutional remedy.
No, Wexler won't hurt his candidacy. If someone leaves Obama for the Clinton camp on this issue, they aren't making any sense unless Wexler's desire for impeachment bothers them.

3. I don't understand your question.
It's your feeling that when one Senator endorses another, they become the same person? They no longer have individual thoughts and actions.

This makes no sense.

5. FYI
Wexler is not a senator. He is a congressman from Florida.

7. FYI -- it doesn't make any difference (but I already knew that -- it was an simple error).
Impeachment comes from the House, not the Senate.

So, care to address my point now that our civics lesson is complete?

4. Wexler's site is scrubbed.. Unless he put it back on his congressional
page.. the impeachment movement is dead..

If they push for Impeachment, the orders are in place to start bombing Iran, and the Pres. will install martial law.. If we want elections in 08, Impeachment is off the table and Bush will steal quietly away to Paraguay so he cannot be thrown in jail.

6. Actually, I think it puts Wexler in the more difficult position.
Given Wexler's belief that Bush should be impeached, one could ask why he is he supporting a "leader" who won't defend the Constitution?

8. The impeachment question goes way beyond and preceded the current campaign.

If you believe that impeachment is justifiable, then why has the House leadership kept it off the table? If you feel the votes are there to support impeachment, why do the people who know this for certain disagree with you?

If Clinton and Obama (and just about every Dem candidate other than Kucinich) believe that impeachment cannot be successful, does this mean that these Senators, governors, etc don't defend the Constitution?

Your entire argument is based on the assumption that your assessment of the situation is correct and everyone with a different point of view is wrong and, curiously, refuses to defend the Constitution.

Returning to our civics lesson for a moment, I guarantee you that George W. Bush is absolutely bulletproof on every so-called impeachable offense that has been tossed out by the impeachment obsessors. Any attempt at impeachment would fail miserably both on political and legal grounds.

9. Congressman Wexler was the subject of the original post, and HE believes
Bush should be impeached.

And Wexler has valid reasons for feeling so. Bush has openly violated the Constitution and the laws of the land. His exaggerated claims of executive power are a direct threat to our form of government.

If you are going to give lectures on civics, you should return to grammar school or whatever, if any, other educational institution you attended, and continue your studies.

10. And that is nothing but YOUR opinion.
To degrade and insult others for having a different opinion reflects badly on you and raises questions about your agenda. Worse, rather than address my points, you immediate resort to insults.

I'm sorry your candidate quit. I'm sorry your political agenda is dead in the water. Learn to live with it.

11. So much for the politics of Hope and Unity.
Not to worry, several choruses of Kumbyyah sung loudly for The Leader will drown out all dissent.
