They have a chance to influence the election better than if they were on Super Tuesday.

8. And to think...
Last year our General Assembly almost--almost--decided to move up our primary to this week (at least, the presidential primaries). Right now I'm glad they didn't, though I hope our primary still won't be a little late in the game.

Part of me does wish they'd shifted it to coincide with next Tuesday, the "Chesapeake Tuesday" with Va., Md. and D.C. That way at least the candidates would have had some geographical proximity in the participating states. It was kind of fun living not that far from the S.C. border and seeing fairly close-up what was going on in their contest.

B-)

3. Especially the ones that broke the rules to do it
They'd probably feel like complete morons if they weren't in such deep denial that they blamed everything on Dean and the DNC.

5. I'm still wanting a national primary day (holiday) and election day (holiday).
People can just go and vote for whomever they want and be done with it. I was an Edwards supporter, but voting for Obama now only to keep the Clintons out the WH.

I do my voting on Feb 12th.

7. yes and no.
I'm really wishing that there was a rule in place that mandated that all primaries had to be conducted prior to 5/1.
