Superdelegate System = Tammany Hall?
I despise this idea of backroom deals being made to determine the nominee of the Party. Why do people feel the need for the winner to have this GAPING lead going into the Convention? A lead is a lead is a lead...even if it's by 2 damn delegates. If you have a situation where the Superdelegates break for the person with the lesser amount of votes...all hell will break loose and Howard Dean (Boss Tweed?) knows that. Which is why he's talking about having the two of them come to a "deal" if it's unclear who the frontrunner is after a certain point. All the people on DU calling for a Brokered Convention is asking for trouble.

If it gets REALLY nasty, it may force the DNC to get rid of the Superdelegate system altogether (which I hope happens...because it's shitty).

1. at least Boss Tweed knew how to get things done...
so some good actually happened amidst the graft & greed. The DNC seems to want to follow a direction that can only harm the long-term well-being of the party, all for some short-term gains. Gains that may have already been realized in 2006.

2. The DNC has fucked this election up
Superdelegates should have been gone a long time ago and *something* should have been worked out with Michigan and Florida a long time ago. They should have just stripped them of half their delegates and gone from there.
